Hi there,need your help!! I was apply asylum on oct 2015, and I’m waiting for my first hearing for 8 years finally this march 27 2023 I attend my interview at Newark asylum office New Jersey and still waiting for decision, I also got send email to them ask what was happening to my decision? it’s take so long they reply it’s under review also my attorney emailed them also same reply !! Then 2 weeks ago I contacted congressman of Jersey city for help writing a letter for get my decision asap they told me to wait for 1 months will receive any response from USCIS, so I’m still waiting, may I know what will happen next ? Thank you for your support and advice stay blessed.

Hi , I am in a similar situation like you . Applied Oct 2015 , got interviewed April 2023 ( after 8 years) at Newark NJ.Still waiting for decision. Atleast I have a peace of mine now that I know we are many out there ! Let's keep the faith . All will be well. I think Newark asylum office is slow .

I had my interview in Denver field office on September 12th!

2023/08/01 Filed for Mandamus

2023/09/12 Interview

Is there any possibility for approval since i renew EAD at same month of interview (Aug 2023)

Any one get approved before the process start with decision was mailed than fees waved?

And if no when it reflect to EOIR?

No matter whether your EAD is valid or not, they need to issue a new EAD based on your new status
