Waiting Asylum decision

Thanks guys, i appreciate your opinions, however who wears the shoes knows how it pinches, i wont even go into the efforts made ,expedite reports, senate/congress emails, would still appreciate if anyone has anything to add to my text, would love to know if anyone has gone to the asylum office and refused to leave without an appt date:).....finally when anyone comments on someone elses post, be careful not to be dismissive.
I don't think it would work! the security guard won't let you in without oppointment notice! talk to your lawyer and file for Mandamus lawsuit

I feel your pain Ponpo, it is easy to just throw shades and think one is not doing anything about one's case, for the fact you wrote to senate and got your decision doesn't mean some else will also get the result same way. If you have any useful suggestion let us all give and stop the unnecessary criticism. This forum has helped me a lot, please don't stop shedding more light and if you think we are not doing enough be constructive in your criticism. Have a great day all and thank you for all your suggestions. I have being waiting for my decision for 1and half years now, ( 2 letters from my lawyer, 2 from congressman, 1 from senate and nothing yet.

@seeker512,

This is the 2nd time I am receiving the same message from USCIS through my congressman. i did interview since July 2022

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate that your constituent was interviewed by the San Francisco Asylum Office and the application is still pending.

An asylum application may require additional time to be adjudicated after an initial asylum interview for several reasons including awaiting background and security check results, and/or requiring a re-interview. Additionally, the need to reassign staff to high priority workloads, such as protection screenings for detained noncitizens, may also be a reason for delaying the adjudication. Please be assured that your constituent’s application has not been overlooked.

To ensure your constituents receive correspondence from USCIS and avoid unnecessary delays, they must inform USCIS of any change of address within 10 days of moving. Your constituent may find information on how to report a change of address to USCIS
I filled in 2015
Went to interview in the beginning of 2022
Filed my latest EAD in July 2022, received it in October 2023 for 5 years
Still waiting on interview decision
P.-S: can't add my case to my USCIS profile

Hello,
I had applied for travel doc based on approved asylum. Its been about 40 days and I haven’t received the receipt notice by ucsic. I did chat with emma and they said need to contact lockbox. I did but no response. Can someone suggest?

Until your case is decided, you would not be able to add your case in USCIS profile. If you have any solid reason to expedite your decision, then write to any congressman or senator, otherwise you will have file Mandamus law suite.

i have apply for asylum on Jan 2018 and had my interview on March 2018. for tow years my case status was decision pending but on Dec 2020 the
case history showed
  • 12/08/2020 You completed your interview with USCIS.
and the status changed from decision is pending to application is pending and i have the following message

Your application with USCIS is still pending.
You must wait 365 calendar days after you file your application before you apply for employment authorization. If there is an unresolved applicant-caused delay on the date you file an application for employment authorization, we will deny your application for employment authorization.

anyone know what that's mean
Hi @ Abu Hassan
Is there any update on your case?

Abu-Hasan, Bro, based on my knowledges and studies, your case will s damaged zone. means, can be referred to court. Your EAD clock has been stopped by the USCIS
it is still said decision pending and not mentioned that EAD clock has been stopped

Again, I tried many times to check my clock, can anyone explain how to check clock? Because I tried many numbers and never reach to that option.
Thanks

it is in Chicago i tried to call them before many time they always say check it online. but I'm planning to write them a letter soon
You really need to check with them and go in person to the office. They should have walk-in or online schedule. Check on their website. I wish you good luck!
