In my understanding this is not a good sign.TThat's great! You should hear from USCIS anytime soon. My status also changed from "Decision Pending" to "Application Pending" on October 5th. My interview was on September 12th!

Do you know why that would be a bad sign?In my understanding this is not a good sign.
Because mostly after Decision is Pending changes to Decision was Mailed or Fee were Waived. Changing the status to Application is pending means they are reviewing your application and it may be referred to court. This is guess is based on my experience/observation. See what happens. let's hope for the best.Do you know why that would be a bad sign?

Thank you Mihan!IMO, the application pending means some type of background check and the asylum office isn't doing anything during that period, until they hear back from the background check departments.
I disagree, based on my experience and study, this is not good sign. let's wait and see.Thank you Mihan!
Congrats guys! That's at least something. Does anyone know the max waiting after interview until decision is made? The longest I heard so far is 3years. Please share your experience here.TThat's great! You should hear from USCIS anytime soon. My status also changed from "Decision Pending" to "Application Pending" on October 5th. If I hadn't filed for a Writ of Mandamus, I would probably still be waiting. Have you considered filing for one?I have been waiting for 8 years and yet waiting for an interview!! It’s so frustrating! 8 years and counting for an interview!
Hi, was filling Writ of Mandamus helpful ?If I hadn't filed for a Writ of Mandamus, I would probably still be waiting. Have you considered filing for one?
My friend, i also suggest writting countless letters to the asylum office coodinator at the office handling your case. I did that to the Boston asylum office, write about 7 letters requesting to be interviewed. She wrote back after the 7th letter saying that she has me next in line if someone calls out and within 2 weeks, the office called me to come in for interview in 2 days.Hi, was filling Writ of Mandamus helpful ?
For getting an interview, yes! They finally set an interview for me after 7 years. For the decision after the interview, I don't know yet! My decision is pending.Hi, was filling Writ of Mandamus helpful ?
If you have a strong case and you are ready for the interview, don't hesitate to consider filing for a Writ of Mandamus; otherwise, it might take a couple more years to get an interviewI have been waiting for 8 years and yet waiting for an interview!!
