Waiting Asylum decision

Don't be confused Bro. It's time to celebrate. Congrats: Your case has been approved and you have been granted asylum. EAD card under category A5 has been issued. Celebrate your success. You will receive your new EAD within next 10 days.
Im so excited now. Thank you

Hi, I would appreciate if you have a couple of minutes to help me out. I have been waiting almost 2 years for a decision after asylum interview. When i use the case status online tool it says application is pending, same thing it said when i first applied for asylum. The status never changed to interview was scheduled or decision is pending which is weird because i had my interview. also when i try to add the case to my uscis account it says '' we cannot find a case that matches the receipt number you provided". An attorney contacted the asylum office in Chicago requesting a decision but never got a response. Do you think contacting a congressman will help, and if so how should i do that? thank you!!

I did my interview 16 months ago, and still no decision made. (New York)
The ones who are waiting for decisions, how long have you been waiting?

Contact to Senator Dianne Feinstein office and ask for help. This is your laziness that you didn't pursue your case properly. Visit her website and download privacy release form, fill it out and send to her office at this email address casework@feinstein.senate.gov
Make sure mention your complete detail in it. Best of Luck.

Hello @seeker512 ! I would like to know your personal opinion on mandamus. How long it takes? I have been waiting for 2 years in LA office. Thank you for all your help and inspiring words!

Congratulations ! it was pretty quick decision. i am waiting for decision from Nov 2021 at Newark. Can you please share some of your experience and name of your office. Thanks
Thank you. All the process was very quick, from EAD, finger prints & interview. the only issue I had was on the first interview they had to reschedule it due to a system error they had. My office was @ Tustin CA.

Good day everyone,
I have been following all the stories and discussions in this forum, and I must confess that it has been incredibly helpful. I'm writing to seek your opinion regarding my asylum application process. I had my interview in Houston five months ago, and since then, my application has been marked as 'decision pending.' I have made inquiries twice, and both times I was informed that my case is still being processed and adjudicated. They mentioned that once a decision is finalized, it will be served to me by mail. Additionally, I recently requested a FOIA and found no indication in my application form that my application has been approved or referred. Like I saw some other people application for in this forum.
I am curious to know if this extended processing time is a good sign that my application might be approved or if it suggests something else. I came across a post on this forum mentioning that a lengthy processing time could mean they are conducting a thorough background check before approving the application. I would greatly appreciate hearing your opinions and insights on my case.
Thank you all, and may you continue to be blessed.

I think instead of spending money on mandamus law suite, you should seek help from your senator as I mentioned above. You just waisted your time in wait but now don't waist your time and immediately try to contact your senator or congressman. This is my personal opinion.

Long wait time doesn't mean that your case will be approved. Sometimes, AO forget to work on previous cases and your file maybe went in the bottom. Now you should go through Ombudsman. Because I don't know what is your exact response you received, I can't say anything.

Thank you so much for your response! But I filled in senator inquiry and they sent me just a regular response from uscis that my case is awaiting interview..

You didn't clarify that either you are waiting for interview or decision. If you are waiting for the interview then there is no solution except wait and if your decision is pending and you already contacted to your senator or congressman then you should sent a request to Ombudsman. If you are waiting for your interview then you should escalate expedite request with solid grounds and reasons along with proper documents either on humanitarian or medical grounds whichever suits you.
