Waiting Asylum decision

You will receive a reply from congressman office within next two three days. Usually USCIS takes 5 to 6 weeks to reply but it vary case to case. So now wait and see. Don't rush now.
Brother as discussed yesterday , these are 2 case status showing online , please help me brother , i am feeling helpless

So Brother, you need to contact your congressman again. Call them and tell them that your case is not in immigration court. They have sent you wrong response. Maybe that response belongs to somebody else and they inadvertently sent it to you. So call them on Monday and don't be frustrated, you have to be patient. I waited for 7 years. So don't worry. God will do better. Hope for the best. I have seen your screenshots. Thanks.

Please share your timeline, what date you filed asylum case and what date you've been interviewed. Based on that I can give you an idea that what can be expected result/decision.

Dear all!
I have asked the senator office to inquire about my case again (first inquiry was about 2.5 months ago and the answer was case is pending background checks). The response this time as you see below. My question, has anyone of you received such a response before? your thoughts please???
Note: Case was filed Aug 2020
Interviewed Aug 2022

Good morning. Per our previous correspondence, we reached out to our contacts in the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to request that the processing of your I-589 Petition for Asylum and Withholding of Removal be accelerated. Recently, staff in the USCIS reached back out to our caseworking team to inform us that your case is in the Chicago Asylum Office's processing queue. While they understand your apprehension about the processing time, our liaison assures our office that your petition has not been overlooked and will adjudicate your case as swiftly as agency policy permits.”

If your case in background check process then I am sure that your case will be approved if you don't have any negative record anywhere. So just take a 30 days break and if you don't receive any update on your case status check, then send again a follow up email to your congressman to get the decision.

Last time (about 2.5month ago) response was background checks. Last week the response was case in the Chicago office processing queue.

I think all office used same reason just to extended the asylum applicant suffering, below Newark Asylum Office respade back on the congressman requested on behalf of me, and by the way before that was (dou coved we have short in staff) and after that (extend for more review) and after that was (pending on decision) I reach them by myself more than 6 times and through multiple congressman more than 4 times, and filed the FOIE and without any successes.

Records kept by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicate that your constituent was interviewed by the Newark Asylum Office, that the application is being reviewed and it is pending.
As a part of a greater eligibility determination, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background and security checks on applicants and certain petitioners for immigration benefits. These checks are necessary to ensure national security and public safety. In some cases, the results of these checks require USCIS to perform additional inquiries or consult with other government agencies. When this is necessary, there is often some delay in resolving the checks, and it is difficult to predict when resolution will be completed. Please be assured that this case has not been overlooked. Once all checks are resolved, the application will be adjudicated, and your constituent will be notified of the decision.

If you received this response, I can say that your case will be approved. Just wait and see....

That’s if they are really telling the truth and not just sending template answers to our inquiries .
In March, they responded to the congressman inquiry on my behalf that my case is pending background checks clearance. In April, I requested FOIA and as you see in the attachment it looks like no decision been made yet. I mean no initial decision!

Asylum officer/Supervisor can not sign this portion until the background and security check is completed. But this point needs to be understand that they run background check only for certain applicants whom they recommend for eligibility. So don't worry, if there would be no flag on your background, your case will be approved. This page is signed by they director or supervisor after complete clearance of background and final review. Send a second request to your congressman to get the decision.

You need attorney cause it’s so complicated so you cannot do it by yourself and it costs around $4000-$5500 it depends on the attorney

Hey! Just a question. After you inquired through congress how many days later did you receive the reply. And secondly did you email congress again for update regarding inquiry or they emailed you once USCIS replied. Thanks
