Updates:Did you file your 140&485 before Sept 30th 2005 retro deadline?

wow, congrats. That is good news. Does this mean that we can start expecting to hear regarding I-140's soon. Those of us who applied towards the end of september 2005!

Biometric Appointment Scheduling

Hi,

I got BIOMETRIC appointment for I-485 on 12/06/2005. I read
the following news. They are taking about we will get 2 appointment
scheduling (one for i-485 and one for I-765).

Tell me , How many apointment letter for BIOMETRIC we will get it ?

I got only one for I-485. Please update me.

The USCIS recently announced that it has implemented a new system for scheduling biometric appointments. Applicants for I-485 adjustment of status applications and I-765 employment authorization applications will no longer receive biometric appointment notices directing them to contact the USCIS to schedule their biometric appointments. The new system will now issue biometric appointment notices with appointments already scheduled. However, separate biometric appointments are being scheduled for the I-485 adjustment of status applications and the I-765 employment authorization applications. The USCIS has indicated that separate biometric appointments are required because the biometric data cannot be transferred between the databases for the two applications.

AP status

Hi folks.

Just a query. Has anyone who has RD/ND for AP (CSC) around 09/29 and 10/07 and has his/her AP approved received the AP in mail?????

It's been 12 days since my approval, no sign of it in the mail yet.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to track if it has been posted/delivered?

Any info would be great...

EAD approved

Friends,
EAD for me and my wife were approved yesterday (11/21)->checked on USCIS site. Please check the signature for details.

how come I-140s applied in EB3 category at VSC are getting processed quicker than EB2s?

My friend who applied I-140 after me received his approval in a month. I'm still waiting. He applied in EB3 and mine is EB2.

Any clue????
 
I-765 - EAD approved, card in mail

Today I got an email saying that EAD was approved.

I got one email on 11/22/2005 that said:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

On November 22, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.


Then I got an email on 11/25/2005 that said:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On November 25, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.



Is it normal to receive two emails like this. There was two LUDs on each of these days for I-765.

There is no progress on I-140 or AP yet. No LUDs either on any other application

Yes Fyod. Those are the same msgs I received as well. Very normal. Enjoy ur EAD!
 
I140 approvals

My friend also got I140 approved in 2 weeks. This is 4 months back. He said, though the processing dates showed 4 months, he got approved in 2 weeks. It was under EB3 category. I am wondering is there any criteria for that?
Also, some members of this forum reported that they had RFE to convert EB2 to EB3?? Are they looking for advanced degree or some other criteria to do this?? Looks like I140 is also becoming bottle neck...
 
AP Approval

AP also got approved on 11/28/2005.

Is it true that EAD goes to person's address and AP goes to the lawyers address?
