TSC Consolidated 485 Tracker

My wife's case is the same.......

From October 26th until February 6th, my wife's case didn't get any LUDs at all. On Feb 7th, however, she suddenly got the approval. I believe that having LUDs before approval must have something to do with the 'PRE-ADJUDICATION' process. Maybe that's why my wife's case didn't get any LUDs before the final approval (because our cases already have been preadjudicatd, but stuck with namecheck).

Anyway, it appears that we've got tons of approvals on Feb. 7th. I hope TSC works on other cases and give us more approval showers......

You know, now I'm a near non-believer of LUDs. I seriously start believing the way they issue LUDs may depend at least partly on who is working on your file. My case is a former category in your scheme, but if you believe my LUDs, that means that they didn't touch my file until the day of approval, which is hard to believe. So I have to believe no LUD does not necessarily mean they are not working on your file. Conversely, a so lot of LUDs may not necessarily mean it's near.

One thing which might be sorta pattern, though, is if you don't have LUDs for quite a while and one day, suddenly, you get one, then chances are you may get magic emails next day. There seem to be quite a few such people here for the last few months.

What processing time!

I had sent an inquiry to USCIS early January with my case being outside of processing time and everything! Imagine my surprise last night when I received a letter from them in response to my inquiry.

Why surprised? Because the letter says that my case is not outside of their processing time

So I called them up this morning (POJ trick) and the rep looked it up and said well your case is outside processing time (which I already know!) and initiates another inquiry. This time he said his system automatically selected the Seattle field office as destination for the inquiry.

I don't think these inquiries help at all. And now I am really worried that Texas folks for some reason don't think my case is delayed.

Any ideas/suggestions?

The majority of the 35 million background checks the agency runs every year are cleared within nine months, Bentley said. The others require more research and can take years, he said.

what u r quotting too is not about just namecheck. uscis send sonly 1.5 millions namecheck to fbi every year. the 35 millions they talked about in the report are about background checks. name check is one part of background checks but there are others . so in summary, bentley was not refering accurately to namecheck. just to be clear on this issue.

Finally got the approval e-mail.

After almost 7yrs of H1-B and 1 EAD/AP renewal my wait finally comes to an end.

I have had a lot of LUDs and some of the successive ones did get me very excited.
05/04, 07/28, 07/29, 11/10, 11/13, 11/14, 11/15, 12/15, 2/5

I am pretty sure that 05/04 was for FP and 11/10 was for Change of Address.

I did a couple of things which may or may not have helped.
1. Called USCIS for status, 2 months after the processing time crossed 04/07. Then a representative had opened a service request and told me to expect a response on the request in 1-2 months. But she couldn't give me any information apart from the receipt date. It felt like she was on a dumb terminal with the information that I already had. Its been less than 2 months since, but haven't got any response yet.
2. Sent a mail to FBI asking them about the status of Namecheck ( assuming I was stuck there). Didn't get a response to the e-mail and the e-mail hadn't bounced either.

Hope the approvals keep trickling down for everyone waiting.

congrats, so you never for sure that you were stuck in namecheck?

did u contacted anyone like senators or congressman or someone to see what is going on?

When they recevied the RFE, I got an email and also the online message changed to "RFE received and case processing resumed"

Thanks for your response.

I recieved the RFE for Medical, Tax Paper (3 years) and new Job offer letter from the Employer. Lawyer said the RFE Response has been sent about a month ago. The online message has never been changed and I didn't get email either. I called the National Customer Service Center today and Lady politely said there is no reference NCSC getting any RFE Response.

I am just confused

Does LUD's mean anything?

I saw posts where there were many LUDs on case ( which gives sense
that somebody is 'working' on your case ) and then get approved.
While somebody reported practicallly no LUDs and then got approval.
But i believe the former category is more. The last LUD i had was in Aug 2006.

Answer: May be!

I didnot get any LUD even after FP and there was no LUD on 485 before the approval (If something happened in last couple of days before the approval, then I missed it because I was not checking for updated all these days).

But you can definately be approved without getting a significant number of LUD's. My LUD on 485 was rock solid until the approval.

So if you do not see any LUD, do not panic!

I hope you all get the approval asap.

Good luck

Ead?

finally my EAD got approved. almost 4 months whereas many people got it in 1 month.

It seems odd. I was with TSC for my EAD. I applied around 20th DEC,06 and was approved a day after FP on 26th jan, 07. But I may not be able to use it anyway due to 485 approval.

goodluck

Any new development since then, mitra? Here, nothing to the spouse yet.

Senator

Got a reply back from my senator.
"Thank you for your letter concerning the delay you and your wife have encountered in the processing of your applications for adjustment of status in the U.S.

In an effort to be of assistance, I contacted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Texas Service Center, on your behalf regarding this matter. I am advised by DHS officials that your case is in the last stage of adjudication, and that you should receive "notice of action" within the next 3-60 days. I hope this information is helpful."

I don't know, how true this is, and how soon we will receive the decision. Any ideas?

I had got the same answer from TSC last month. "my case is not outside of their processing time". Actually my case was already pending for 8 month at the time of the reply.
The TSC rep even don't let me make another inquiry becuse the system don't allow two inquiries in the same month.
I think the inquiry just added another LUD but won't help anything.

Could you share the state and the name of the Senator please?
Looks like some are much more responsive than others.

Background Check in Home Country

Strange explanation by InfoPass officer:

(1) I recently received a written response from USCIS about my inquiry as to why my i-485 processing is delayed. The USCIS letter indicated that the delay of my i-485 is casued by the "investigation into (my) background".

(2) Also, today I had an InfoPass appointment where I asked the same question. I was surprised to hear from the Immigration Officer that my "background check" would involve a check at the US Embassy in my home country.

Could this be possibly correct? I thought the background check is only limited to an FBI review domestically (not in the home country). Has anyone heard this before????? :(
