If 80% Chinese, Indians are stuck, we have a case

If 80% Chinese, Indians are stuck with name check (or just excuse), then I think we have a case of discrimination. I wonder maybe those guys got approved, but did not bother to come here to update us. Because per USCIS, the name check will hold up only a small percentage of applicants for lengthy check, how come we have 80% chinese, indians held by name check. I am thinking of writing a complaint letter to TSC director about the targeting processing... just not so confident about our statistics, plus my own receipt date is July 26, theoretically not my turn yet to complain.

Then , why are they not approving your case ?!
Good Question!!!!!
I think they are not working on India and China Employment Based Green Cards right now..almost for a month; I have initiated an enquiry, but really I do not think anything helps.

USCIS will work per their own plan.. So there is nothing more we can do other than waiting

Then why are they publishing June 2006 as their processing date ? Simply lying ?
I thought DOL were a pack of jokers and i was happy with TSC till now ( got fast EAD,AP etc ).

did U notice the date changes?? it is always around six months they promise!!!
How can they be so accurate only for 6 months, Why the do not say 5-4-3 Months, They just generate the dates

hi antonioa - it would be ... if you look at TSC statistics in www.immigrationwatch.com:

81% of cases are still in USCIS "inbox" compared to 30% same time last year

... which is better(?) than NSC having 92% in "inbox" this year compared to 17% same time last year (ouch) !

Even if they did so , who are to ask , right ? Poor would-be immigrants ?
These kind of intentional --rewups may be the reason behind their secrecy.
They can just lie and say "under further review" and not say anything else.
I hope they are not shredding the applications / or using as toilet paper and saying
"under further review".
There was a case a few years back where one guy literally shredded applicant
documents and "reduced" the backlog.

I think the following has the most telling reasons as to what is going on this year:

http://www.immigrationwatch.com/uscis-processing-statistics.html

As you can see, the number of applications sent to Texas surged from 69896 in 2005 to 101782. This is almost a 50% increase in I-485s being filed at this center. I-140 scenario is even worse - from 18131 applications in 2005 to 53369 in 2006 (and this is only through November 2006, they haven't even charted December 2006 yet). Even with these application increases, the number of I-485 approvals has fallen by 10000! I think TSC is experiencing a significant overload right now (even though the less complicated H-1B filings at this center have dropped dramatically), which means that the whole 6 month processing timeline is not going to hold for much long IMO. So much for specialized center processing helping make them more efficient!

I just went to the local FBi office to talk with them about the namecheck and to c if they can help me. it was pretty useless basically. they told me that they can't help here and those cases are handled in west virginia (although to my knowledge it is in washington DC) and he told me that the namecheck is takin these days 6 months to 1 yr in many cases.

the funny thing is that fbi website says that almost all cases are cleared in 60 days after submission.

in summary all this is a mess and nobody knows when this namecheck thing will clear. i believe all the estiamted dates that USCIS and FBI show about clearing namecheck are not representative.

All cases will be approved by the end of this year.

Hello all.
there is a good news that i want to share with you all who are frustated waiting for the AoS.
I met the big boss of the texas center...
we had a drink and chat you know.....
.....

.....
I had some drinks...

.....
She had some drinks too...

....

....
long story shorts...

....
I asked her why it takes so long to approve i-485...

....

she said "I know that all of you greencard seeker are
hard worker...."

and "...therefore...." she continued....
"I will just instruct all my staff to approve before the end of this year.."

"I promised..." She continued.....

and I was like "WOW...Really..."

then She was like...."REALLY".

but then I woke up, guys...
then I checked on my USCIS website, just to make sure that
I was just dreaming.....

Don’t wake up too early next time

If you go through same dream again, don’t wake up too early. Hopefully you will be able to take the dream until we all get plastics GC, or even US Passport. Have fun :)
