Any info appreciated

Well, can someone please let me know what should I do? My husband's green card was approved in Sept 2007 and mine has still not yet been approved. I've opened two case queries with USCIS and even had been for an infopass appointment in June. Finally after reading on this site, I approached the Ombudsman's office and they sent me a letter on June 27th, 2008 that they have initiated a formal inquiry with USCIS and that I would have to wait for 45 days till I hear from them. If not then I would have to contact them... Our priority date was Aug 2002. At my infopass appointment, they told me that my case was under review...... What does that mean???
How long till I get my greencard approved... Any info will be highly appreciated. I am so frustrated. I guess you'll can imagine.

Thanx,

Was wondering if someone can shed some lights on this. I received the following note from TSC yesterday:

On July 14, 2008, we transferred this case to our LINCOLN, NE location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. You will be sent a notice when the interview is scheduled, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our LINCOLN, NE location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I have the similar situation as yours. Be patient and wait is my suggestion.

It looks a good sign to me. You may get it at interview.

USCIS error - I140 EB2 changed to EB3

My i140 was approved in Jan 07 and i have an approval notice that reads "mem of advanced degree prof of exceptional ability". Recent senatorial inquiries has returned responses of "applicant is E32India" or "applicant has been categorized under third preference" and visas are no longer available. My lawyer is looking into it to correct it. I had to do all the ground work before I finally convinced him through all these feedbacks that something is indeed wrong. IOs on the 1-800 line have in the past told me that I am EB3. I ignored them thinking they do not know what they are talking about after all I had a approved document that said otherwise. Anyone else with experience in this situation.....

All,

I have my PD Jan 03 (140 approved, 485 pending) and filed my 485 on 10th Jul 07. Since the numbers are unavailable still for EB3 (India) and I keep hearing that PD with later dates getting approved in EB3, I have a question:

Is there anything that I can do? Should I be sending any communication (to whom?) or call anyone (whom?)

Any response is highly appreciated

No one (almost) is getting approved from EB3 with later priority date. I guess now they (USCIS) have become pretty good with priority dates.

Case assigned to officer

Last week I took an appointment to check on the status of my case. The infopass guy told me that my case was assigned to an officer on July 10th 2008. No LUD's on my case since the case receipt ( Aug 10 2007 ). Wonder how much more I ve to wait (

Case under processing

Folks,

My LC is Jan 03 and currently my I-485 (EB3 India) is pending (filed last July 10th, a month before fiasco).

Today morning I called them and I am told by the agent that I-485 files which were received on July 16th 07 are being processed and that mine will be under process and that I should expect some kind of communication is about 4 weeks.

Additionally she said that if I dont hear anything in 4 wks I need to call them back

1. What does "under process" mean?
2. What kind of communication do I need to expect?
3. Since EB3 India is U any guess when I am to expect to get thru with the process?

Any light on this matter is highly appreciated

Sorry for not being clear.
I need advice about what to do next, is there any action makes the process faster?
My previous attorney said just wait until it comes, this is what people generally do?
Any kind of advice based on my situation which might help me move my case is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kishorkv
