Transferred to Local INS office in Washington -Aug 15th RD

i feel no differnt from you guys even i had my interview (perhaps more worried) interview will come your way and soon. but name check ......dont know and no one can help me out of this , arlington office is such a pain ... top of that , another 4 years under bush admin . can really delay the process and who knows wht kind of laws they come up with .
 
Hi Friends,

On friday i.e. 6th of November the senator George Allen's office immigration representative received a fax from Arlington Office regarding mine and my wife's cases. The fax says just one line i.e.

"Case will be schedule sometime in Dec. or early Jan./05"

I hope they are talking about scheduling the interview. I am really excited to see if that's what is going to happen.

Thats great news. If they have faxed a letter stating that your interview will be scheduled then it is quite true. Just hang in there. Things will turn out our way very soon.

By the way, I called Mrs Edwards at Se, John Edwards office. She was suppose to call the immigration office today and find out the status on my case. Will keep you guys updated.

Try to contact George Allen's office or John Edwards office regarding the transfer cases. I think they contacting the local office is definitely impacting the process.

I believe thats what trigerred by process. As i mentioned in my previous message that Allen's office immigration specialist received a fax on 6th Nov from local office about scheduling the interview for our cases between dec and early jan/05.

EAD Renewal

Hi Friends,

I received My EAD renewal recepit note last friday with date RD 10/27/04
and ND 10/28/04. My I-485 has transferred to DC Office on 10/28/04.

As per new VSC dates they have passed My ND date and no change in msg.
it means, did they tranfered my EAD loacl office or still they are processing.

if they sent to loacl office,is it possibale to appear by person any time for EAD.or i have to wait for 90 days , my current EAD is expiring on 01/25/05.

Please Advice me..

I will explain my case before give my adive to your case. Our EAD's are expiring by 2nd week of February. Our attorney rajiv khanna's office applied for EAD/AP to vermont service center with RD of 10/18/04 though our 485 case is already transferred to local office on september 23rd 2004. On november 4th 2004 i got online messages changed and got emails that all our EAD's and AP's are transferred to local office. I assume your cases will be changed to local office sooner the possible and will be notified if you have setup the online profile.

And coming to getting EAD i don't think we can get new EAD immediately go to local office as and when the EAD applications are transferred to local office. If your cases gets transferred to local office then probably in the 3rd week of December take an infopass appointment regarding interim EAD go to local office and try to collect the interim EAD. Its very important to have renewed EAD especially if you are working on EAD. In my case i have my H1 valid till next year October. So no problem.

People cannot get interim EAD after the existing EAD is expired. It should be before that. But it cannot be way far away. This is all my opinion. I may not be right. I would say go to arlington office without appointment once and then ask in the front office explaining the situation when should i come to pick my interim EAD.

Before that you should get an official notification that your case is transferred already ok.

Whats the turnover time for George Allen's office to initiate an inquiry on a pending case and getting back the status?

I have sent her an email explaining my case. Will that suffice or do I have to fax a letter?

Hi wonderfulboy,

My EAD Renewal application dates(LUD) are changed from 11/01/04 to 11/05/04 but not msg. , does it means are they processing at VSC or they are moving DC office..or does not make any sense..

Call Emily Evans immigration officer for Senator George Allen's Office @ 703-435-0039. She will ask you to give all the information through fax. I wrote a very big letter explaining the whole story about my GC starting from my labour process. Provide the case numbers and A#'s of the cases.

For i submitted her the letter on Sep 24th 2004 after my case is transferred on Sep 23rd 2004. She get back to me initially after talking to Washington DC office on Sep 29th 2004 that vermont transferred our files on 29th September the files are still not in local office. The local office asked her to contact in month time ie. around 27th 2004.

Then i did send an email about the status on 27th Oct 2004. She said she already sent an email to local office waiting for response. She is on vaccation between Oct 29 - Nov 4th 2004. She responded back on Oct 5th 2004 that the files are in local office. The case is not yet assigned to officer. The local office doesn't know how soon they can complete my case.

And on 8th October i.e. yesterday i called for clarification regarding the email she sent and then she said received a fax on 6th Nov from local office that they will schedule the interview between Dec - Jan.

Thats the whole story. This process might vary from case to case. I cannot give any guarantee my friend. Try your luck.

Attorney is no way involved in the process of contacting the senator's office. As and when i saw the online message and the emails that our cases are transferred to the local office. I immediately researched for about 2 hrs extensively in immigration.com forums. Then i searched the local senators contact numbers (i mean in virginia) and called their offices straightway.

Ead Approval

Today I got ead approval notice from the arlington office. It does say I have an appointment for such and such time. My question is that do I need to make an info pass appointment in order to get my ead because the washington office has already made an appointment for me. Please share your experience and ideas about this matter.
