I have an interesting question ? My understanding of case number is that first 3 letter stands for Service center, e.g. LIN, then 03 is for the year the case has been filed and next three letter for example in my case it is 271 are for the day of that year when your case has been received by BCIS, and last five numbers are your case number.

If above is true then my date of receipt and case number
LIN03271***** does not match because Sept 19th was 262nd day of the year.

Anyone have answer or any comments on that ..

Yes, USCIS does count in some Saturdays when the number is given. but be sure to remove the non working days other than sundays. dont bother counting it. its really not worth the effort. it is defined as a "computer working day" which is not really very clear to me.

it got approved yesterday but the status had not changed till 9pm yesterday when i checked it. this morning i checked it at 10 and it had changed.

good question. it is somewhere out there. anyways, since it doesnt have any implication USCIS wise, i think it is ok to just mark it as semi concurrent since it is just our convention to draw attention to the fact that it wasnt the same time.

i defer conclusions about this to the tracker updater. :)

As far as I know, there is nothing called "Semi Concurrent".

Concurrent filing => Filing I-485 petition, while I-140 petition is pending.

Non-Concurrent filing => Filing I-485 petition, after I-140 petition approval.

I guess in the tracker, we started using the word "Semi Concurrent", if you don't send your I-140 and I-485 together. But still from the USCIS point of view, it is Concurrent filing only.

Back to Venkat's question, according to me yours is concurrent filing.

Please Correct me if I am wrong..

There are several names missing from the latest version of the spreadsheet, including my data. Did anyone else notice this?
