A company merged with other B

Hi ,

I am still awaiting for the paperwork to be filed for 140/485.Meanwhile my original company "A" underwhich I have approved Labor certification.My company has been bought out by other company "B"

What are the supporting documents I may need while filing 140/485?

YES, several names missing latest version of the spreadsheet, updated by “al_paso”

Version of the spreadsheet, updated by “naanshi” has all the names
I hope Naanshi will update or correct the spreadsheet
 
I found all the names

in the spreadsheet submitted by al_paso. Just that it was showing category selection as EB2. When I select category to "All" it shows all the 190 records. Maybe I overlooked/missed something.

I-140 QUERY

Thanks titu. some of my friends are saying, once I-140 is approved in USA where i opted for AOS. I can't change it to CP

But iam planning to go for CP , CAN I CHANGE IT TO CP after I-140 APPROVAL ?

Yes you can. As a matter of fact if you have originally opted for AOS in your I140 application then the only way you can change it to CP is AFTER I140 approval. I824 is a petition to request further action on a previously approved application.

Read the "purpose" and "who may file" section of the attached I824 form and it should clarify things. The second point under "who may file" is what one would be requesting for, for changing from AOS to CP. You would also have to enclose a copy of the approved I140 petition when you file I824 to change from AOS to CP.

Medical checkup

I am applying my I140/4885/131/765 in NSC. I am staying in Dallas , TX. My labor is certified from Chicago, Illinois. I have one doubt regarding Medical Checkup. I know that medical check up has to be done from Immigration civil surgeons. My question is can I do it in Dallas or I have to go to Chicago, Illinois and do the medical checkup from the Doctors there.
 
You can do it in Dallas, TX. I am staying in Atlanta, GA and I have filed my I-485 in NSC. I did my Medical Checkup in Georgia. I don't think there will be any problem.

I am in exactly the same situation as you. I live in Dallas, TX and have applied my labour through Chicago and I140/I765/I485 through NSC. I got mine and my wife's medical checkup done in Dallas and have had no problems so far.
I do not think you should have any issues with that.

Hi Manisudhan,
Congrats on your LC approval and yes you can do your medical checkup in Dallas even though ur LC was approved from Chicago. Mine also got LC approval from Chicago,IL and filed my I-140/I-485 with medical checkup done from Miami,FL per my attorny's instructions.

I have few more questions,

1.In work experience letter is it okay if I write address for
Headqurters or need the exact location where I worked ???.As
I have worked for one employer but for different location.
2.What documents we need if my company has been bought out
by another company on Dec '2003.They are still in process so
do I submit the old employers info. and submit the details when
settlement done officially as far as name change etc. ??????

Receipt info not yet

Any one like in same position :

We sent the papers to NSC on 22-DEC-2003 for 485/EAD/AP so far no receipt notice on any of them. Can any one tell what do we do in this case.

I am worried of this ?
 
Lonely poet, I understand its mixed news but it should go thru dont worry. what time did the status on the website change? Iam eagerly waiting for my case.. its around the sametime but EB3.

It must be a simple RFE and hope things will be fine. Common RFEs are Company Financial Statements and Education Evaluation. Did you use Regular Labor or Subtitute Labor?

I strongly feel that you should hear your approval this week. Some times the website status changes on the same day of decision and some times next day morning.

I-140 Approval

Hello Everyone,
My I-140 got approved on 29th Jan. Please update the excel sheet for me.

Just a quick recap, mine is EB3-RIR-Non-Concurrent case with Receive date of July 17, 2003. It took real long way to go.

Just wanted to share this co-incidence with you all. I am not sure if they are processing July for EB3-RIR-Non-Concurrent (same as my case), but on Jan 23rd I called up BCIS and enquired about my case, politely putting forward that it has already taken more than 6 months, lady on the phone informed me that they are processing April 28. She asked me to have patience and didn't assure me of expediting my case as I expected since it is already more than 6 months old. Now I see, its not long and my I-140 is approved. I wonder if a polite phone call can make a difference in case your case is more than 6 months old or its just my luck. I didn't expect it so soon.

Thanks a lot to all the members of this forum. Continues up-to-date exchange of information from you guys kept the hopes alive and the momentum goin. Once again, thanks a lot to you all and see you soon in I-485.
