Mainly one has to show that he/she is permanently living in US so if some one lives oversees for more than 6 months, USCIS suspects one is not maintaining his/her permanent residence in US. For more than 6 months stay one has to apply for permit which may allow up to 1 year out of >>country stay.

Where do we have to get this stamp. I am planning on going to Canada soon.
 
case tranferred

a friend of mine had is i140 approved on july 2004 in texas and they transferred his i485 in oct 2004 to vermont his priority date is april 30,2001 ..he wants to know if his case will process according to usis processing date in vermont which isjuly 2003.

My AP status changed like following:

"the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

Is it mean approved? What is 'registration'?

I got an RFE on AP they are asking for submitting some kind of photo identity..My lawyer is saying to send the coloured photocopy of passport I will be mailing it tomorrow..
Anybody else got RFE like that on AP....

I140 AD: 01/14/2005
I1485 AD: Pleaaase God within next week....
No LUD for I1485 after I140 approval
last 1485 LUD:11/15/2004 - resuming I1485 processing after FP...
FP Done for me : 11/04/04
FP for wife not yet received
 
Evening viewers and Sunday viewers some headlines on our tracker.

According to our USCIS the District office processing time has been updated to 01/14/05 which ofcourse is no concern to us.

According to our USCIS probability game we will see Service Centres update by 01/17/05 which makes me jealous of California and Vermont as they are way ahead of us in the I140 game.

According to our Saturday thread we all would like to congratulate RPRANESH on his approval I140 , which I think all of us should give a pat on every shoulder who gets through the I 140 clock.

According to our Texas tracker 01/10/05 date is the latest FP notice received.

According to our Texas tracker 08/20/04 case is the latest approved I140.

Just wanted to drop in and tell the friends at this thread that the PP stamping experience at ATL was smooth and simple. Don't take any camera phones in, and if want to change the last name of the spouse, it is quite possible and take marriage certificate.
