HELLO AFTERNOON VIEWERS
QUESTION: HOW LONG CAN YOU STAY OUT OF THE U.S WITH TRAVEL DOCUMENT AP?
>> One can stay as long as one wants provided one comes back into US before the xpiry date mentioned in the AP approval notice.
I HEARD THAT EVERY PASSPORT HOLDER GOING OUT OF THE U.S IS NOW REQUIRED TO GET AN EXIT STAMPED ON HIS PASSPORT BEFORE DEPARTURE. TRUE OR FALSE
>> Yes, that is just to keep track of date when they left US. Nothing bad
about it.
THIRD, I HEARD ONCE YOU GET YOUR GREEN CARD , ONE IS ALLOWED ONLY THREE MONTHS TO ENJOY HIS/HER FREEDOM OUTSIDE THE U.S. AGAIN IS IT TRUE/ OR FALSE..
>> It is 6 months. Mainly one has to show that he/she is permanently living in US so if some one lives oversees for more than 6 months, USCIS suspects one is not maintaining his/her permanent residence in US. For more than 6 months stay one has to apply for permit which may allow up to 1 year out of >>country stay.
