Updated LUD on I485.

Vangaru, What's the idea of changing the sort order of data to name? Would you mind explaining it to us!!

I don't see any advantage of having a sort on name. Personally I feel that we were better off with old sort order that was on I-140 dates. That way it was easy to have quick lookup for comparision.

I prefer to have sort on I-140/I-485 RD/ND. Let's see how other members see.

Yup, sort on 140 RD is better for comparision. Maybe Vanguru was looking for some specific name and hit the name heading to get to it and saved the file.

Anyone who picks up the file next, can you please put it back in 140 sort order if we all agree to it ?

I-140 RD sort order

Vangaru is the starter of this thread.he has privilege to change sort order
though 140 order is good

adibazz and will_be_there,

you guys are right. I-140 RD is the best key for sort order for comparision.

will_be_there : could you sort it on I140 RD to avoid multiple people try to sort it at the same time.

What does LUD stand for?

Vangaru,
It has happened to several other people. For me, the LUD changed to 12/08/04 for all my petitions, including the approved ones. No change in status of any petition though, they all still say "application received, it is taking X days to process etc. etc."

From Pinoys posting, it looks like Texas guys are processing I-140 faster.
Does anyone know if they contiue to do that for Eb3 applicants after 1 Jan 2005 ?

I had asked this question yestarday, can someone please advise me or answer my questions

saurabh_tulika,

1. RD - Receipt date - receieved by USCIS. ND - Notice date - date on which notice issued after assigning a case number. ND is the important date for all purposes. RD does not have any significance at all. some of us are posting only RD, because they may not have the ND as the employer may not give them a copy of the NOTICE.

2. As long as you send I140 and I485 before Jan 1,2005 you should be fine. Just incase, you cannot file your I140/I485 before 01/01/2005, you will not be able to file them for couple of years depends on your PD (Labor priority date. i.e., date on which you labor application is filed with SESA office).

Also, filing I140 and I485 before 01/01/05, does not mean that you will get your approval right away. USCIS looks like giving priority to earlier PD applications.

Thanks vanguru, I know filing before 01/01/05 will not be of any help for 485 approval, it will be done when the PD reaches there. I am in a rush of filing because I am already in my 7th year extention and will be in the eight year in May and I do not want to file for extenstion again (because it is getting expensive, and my company does not pay for H-1 extensions).

So basically what you are saying is I would be fine if my papers reach USCIS befor 01/01/05, even if the ND goes beyond this date.

vmokshagun - info correct or wrong?

is your information correct on the spreadsheet? 140 / 485 RD date showing 10/20/2004, and approved 12/14/2004? Finger printing date 3/6/2004?
