Submitted RFE recently and waiting for approval

RFE Mailing Address

Hi:

I'm ready to mail the evidences for my pending I-485 to the NSC but I don't have the special envelope that said on the RFE letter. The RFE letter head was PO Box 82521 but when I call the NSC they said PO Box 87485. Can any one tell me which is the right one? Also, the evidences I'm sending is not going to fit into an A10 envelope. They said "you will have to fit everything into the envelope".

Thanks for your help

Hi,

I have kept in a bigger envelope and sent the cover they sent in that. I sent the cover because they have a bar code along with LIN . I have sent to the address exactly what is written on the letter. Since the letter is certified and Priority along with return reciept I was able to track as well as USCIS status changed within a week... Hope this helps

immitesting, it took 11 days for me to get the status to be updated to RFE received. So just be patient...

pamid123,

I don't have the special envelope. Could you check the return receipt to see which PO Box did you send to pls? By the way, do you remember what the envelope looks like?

Thanks

Is this the usual or default message, it still says some 500 days:

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Agree

Just check Rupnet data and found the absolute number of Approved Feb 2002 has exceeded that of April 2002. I think NSC is doing the right thing.

Thanks, waitingf4gc. In my case, it looks like NSC updates their database on Tuesday for the cases they worked on Monday. Based on the complexity of your RFE, you may wait a little bit longer (like Paul--up to a week).
