guys, this is insane

Any success story here? Please share with us.

I have asked senators, congressman, my lawyer, sent letter to FBI directly, sent letter to journalists, sent letter to white house, requested FOIPA, wrote letter to GOA to complain. Nothing helps so far. I have waited for one year.

Waiting for GC for 4 years? This is insane. What four years time can do? For the same amount of time, WWII was started and ended; for the same amount of time, Chinese Communist Party beated Chinese National Party and changed the government totally. What a long time!

I remember in the old time in China which was a autocratic country, a person needed to go through a political background check, which is a pain for that person. But it rarely lasted for four years.

Guys, we got to think of a way to fight for ourselves.

I am proud member of Jul /2003 class pending name check, I tryed senato,congresman, best lawyer in the state (can someone add my name to the list ) I called my local FBI office and they give me a new phone number where someone will talk to you , (line is buzy sometimes) 304 6255590 I got the same information name check takes weeks, months, years.....

Threatening the FBI would probably be unwise. They (the FBI) are not violating any laws by delaying your name check, so any warning or threat towards them may result in even longer delay for you because instead of just a name check they would also have to do a criminal investigation for you.

There is absolutely no problem with 'threatening' FBI by writing them a letter. It won't trigger any criminal investigations or anything of that nature. However, these letters most likely will not get you anywhere with FBI. On the brighter note, when/if you go to court against USCIS/FBI - the Federal District Judge will be more favourable towards you, because you attempted to resolve the issue with the agency prior to filing a law suit and never received a response from them.

I sent my demand letter to US Attorney, USCIS and FBI about two week ago giving them 14 days to respond (no need for 30+ days, because you won't get a response anyway). This coming Friday or may be next Friday (if I'm too busy this week) I'll file a law suit against USCIS and FBI. We'll see what happens next....
 
I really think the infopass appointment is a "joke". I set up the appointment a week ago and visited the local office early this morning to enquire the status, but got some kind "friendly" bit** lady to tell me: "I couldn't tell you the status of your NC due to the security reason"(what the heck?). I told her that my visa is available this month, she then looked at the system and told me "no no, the visa is not available"... what a joke? or what a joker shall I say...

If i were you i'd try again. I've been to infopass twice, and both times got the answer i wanted (NC, of course) without ANY problem.... well, second time there was a problem: the officer was shure at first that i want to check the correctness of my name in their system :) issue resolved when i mentioned background check :)

as a matter of fact from the year of 2004 to 2006 I visited local office thru infopass all together 4 times, 3 out of 4 I got this stupid bi&ch lady... am I lucky????

I really think it's just a waste of time for me to get up early at 6:30 am and get 7:45 am appointment not to talk about freezing weather factor.... damn you lady :mad:

You may try your appt time to afternoon, maybe this lady works first shift.. :)

Does the NC has the expiration date? How long will it expire? Don't you think it's much faster to get NC clearer for the second time request?

Hello buzzhd,
I have no idea about expiration of NC... and I can not understand why they requested 2nd time, - maybe they think 1st time was lost (?) which does not seem to be true... anyway my 1st is pending since Oct 2003 and 2nd since July 2005.... I just hope if they receive 1st one they would not wait for 2nd one...

I stucked in name check since July 2004. My fingerprint is going to expire this month. I got the 2nd fingerprint notice from TSC. Does anybody know if it simply because the fingerprint is going to expire, or because my name check is cleared and USCIS is going to process my case? Thank you!
 
It is just because the FP is expired. I had the same experience before.

I called FBI NNCP number today and the lady who answered the phone said they have a huge backlog etc and I asked her what cases they are processing and she was reluctant to answer but i asked her again and she said they are looking at cases from 2003. She wouldnt say anything other than that we should expect significant delays, which we already are anyways.
 
Hello everybody,

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering how you guys know if you are stuck with NC? How do you find out when the name check was submitted and when/if it is cleared? Does the online status change to "Name Check in progress" or something like that?

I'm confused! Please unconfuse me :)
