How long they will take for processing for ex: sept 26 - sept 29 cases ?.( 3 days)

We can say 3 days , provided they are not dumped with lot lot PPS for a day.
By seeing current pace , on average they are taking 1 day to complete the requests recieved in one day.
Means tp complete SLuis sep 26th to sep 29th cases- It may take 3 or 4 days here at DC.

Please advice

Hi All,

I fedexed my documents to St. Louis on 9/11/03 Thursday with overnight priority. So it must have reached the St.Louis office on 9/12/03.

1. Would 9/12 be my SL date?

2. How can I find out my DC date?

Kindly let me know. Fortunately/Unfortunately, I have a confirmed flight ticket on 26th December. Do you guys think I can make it? My return postage is also overnight fedex.

You can find out your DC received date by calling:
202-663-1225
select option 1,0.Have your passport number and First and Last name handy.

I am also on the same boat as you are:
SL RECD DATE: 09/02
DC RECD DATE: 09/27
Ticket to India: 12/25

Based on the current updates on the forum,looks like DC office is currently processing 09/26-09/27 dates.

If I am wrong,someone on the forum can correct me.

27th SEPT DC date

Hey,

I just called the state dept and a very nice officer told me that the last she heard they were processing Sept 25th cases. According to her, this was a few days ago. She also informed me that my case reached DC on the 27th of Sept and that it should be processed anyday now since they are AHEAD of schedule.

Hope the above information helps those who are anxiously waiting for their passports. I am scheduled to fly out on the 18th of December myself so I have my fingers crossed.

If anyone else has any other updates, please post them.

I just called
My case is approved .
SL Date: Sep 4th , DC date: Sep 26th
Approved : Dec 3rd

and it has to go to printing and QA section.

I just asked that lady , she told every passport has to go to QA section.
She told that my passport will go to deifferent section where Printing & QA done.

I guess , the people we talk in DOS do not know whether our passport will go to QA(Only QA) or not.
Ofcourse everyPP will go to printing.


My question is : If my PP goes to QA and it delays , then i may not be able to catch my ticket on Dec 10th


Any information regarding printing & QA procedure and how long it takes.
Prinitng: How much time it takes???
QA: Does every PP need to go to QA , if yes how much more time it takes. First of all how can we know whether our PP goes to QA or not. I believe the phone dept we talk to , can not say this . Am i right??

First of all the clerks we talk on phone in DOS , Do they know that particular case goes to QA or not.

Somebody help me....( I think who got PP s may help this question more. But not sure whthere people already got PP are browsing this forum or not :) )

I called DOS to check my status and they have not started Sep-27
DC case, she told me that I should call next week to check my status.

DC 27 Sept

i just called and for 27 the dos person said not yet processed expect until end of dec. What is the deal with that? Is anyone else travelling soon and waiting?

I told the dc lady about my flight and i said i've heard that some sept 26 folks have already gotten their passports. Do you think that talking to them hurts our case in any way?
 
Regarding Sep-27

When I called Visa DOS today, they told me to check status next week and probably they will process Sep-27 case till next week, so why they are saying at the end of Dec ?

I have question, is any body have seen this problem ?

I sent my and wife together when I call they couldn't find my passport number then they checked on basis of my name and found my name and my wife passport number together and DOS clerk told me to use your wife passport number for query when I told to update it, she said. 'No', she can't do it.

Is this normal or it might create some problem, please let me know if somebody has seen this situation before

Neels, I will highly suggest you , don't disclose any thing to DOS sometime they are irritated due to high call volume and give the wrong information.
