Try calling up again, sometimes the customer service reps are not up-to-date. If you have the biometrics note mentioned in your 485 receipt almost everyone here has been able to schedule an appt.

LUD Changed
Hello All,
My LUD Changed dated 10/01/05 (Sunday !) for my I-140. Details as follows:
RD : 09/09
ND : 09/12
LUD : 10/01
I had filed I-485 on 09/27 and LUD changed for that one as well. I really wonder what is going on. Any one...any idea?
Mine is a NIW case.

PD on receipt blank
Priority date field on my 485 receipt is blank, is this a mistake? Is there anyone else with this discrepancy, please check?

Your PD will be written on Approval of I-140 not on receipts of I-485/140.

Received biometrics appt letters today

I had scheduled biometrics appts for Oct 18th by calling the 800 number, the codes were not known. However today my wife and myself both got biometrics code 3 appointment letters for Oct 13th. On calling USCIS they said go for the Oct 13th appt with the fingerprint notice, and the Oct. 18th appts will be cancelled automatically.
Oddly enough she also said that some ASCs are not entertaining applicants who do not have the explicit fingerprint notice: it seems its upto the discretion of the officer and the resp. office.
You might want to check if your ASC is allowing biometrics based on the 485 receipt appt. Anyways I guess your biometrics letter should be on the way too.

I didn't have the PD on my receipts either. BTW, when I called USCIS for a biometrics appointment the lady said that if I get a separate notice for biometrics, then I should call them back....

and follow instructions (under Register).
LUD is the Last Update Date. It will become clear once you register.

I got an appointment for the Nov 3rd. I called the 1-800 number on 485 receipt and got an appointment for the 12th Nov, but got the notice in mail yesterday with an earlier date....

I was wondering if you recieved your ND. Seems mailroom is pretty busy and takes sometime before they file the documents.
