I am working for a consulting company, and I applied from california in june 2001 and chicago in Feb 2003 for labor both were approved in June last year.. I then applied for I-140 and I-485 from chicago, my I-140 is approved from chicago, and now I do not need the labor from california..

PM me for more information..

Actually, let me put my question in a different way. I want to know if I can use my experience at current employer if labor is filed from the same employer, but different branch office in different state. It will be really helpful to know that and what that position may be. Thanks..

RIR to PERM transfers

Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone of you know whether there will be provisions for transferring pending/backlogged RIR cases to PERM..... OR will they solely be processed by the backlog centers. ...?? Can we say, ask for sucha transfer if we were sure that our case would be approved faster via PERM than via backlog reduction centers... All this of course if either PERM or backlog centers ever see the light of day..

-Thanks for your time.

Re: Re: California Regional (DOL) Tracking - 2

All of a sudden the postings seems to be displayed latest post first. The latest pages appear on the top of the first page, that is why last page points to gp111's very old post (when he started this thread).

question

after a case being remanded, how long does it take for it to be back to where the process is interrupted?

I saw it the forum that most auto-remanded cases were processed almost 6 months after its intial auto-remand? does it take that long?

thanks

Gurus, can anyone please respond? This is very important for me.

If my company has branch office (not headquarters) in another state, but my work location is here in California, is it possible to file labor from that state? Do I have to move there at any stage?

I think that DOL advises that you file from the state where your company is headquartered. Having said that, it is certainly possible to file labor from another state. Be aware that some DOL offices (Philadelphia, I think) have issued a warning against forum shopping - filing of Labor Cert application from states with minimal processing time.

Congrats cadolslow.

Re: Certified!!!!

You're the man! It uses 2.7 years to clear labour. I guess there is 1 year for I-140 and at least 2.3 years for I-485. That makes 6 years! Now I know why H1B is 6 years maximum. Just enough for GC.
