To my knowledge, people who file under PERM will not be able to file anything until their PD is current. BTW, I'm new here and sorry for my ignorance, but what is AOS and AP.
I am watching C-Span and this waiting is driving me crazy!!! I hope we will all be happy at the end of today!!!

I apologize to have taken a back seat the past 24 hrs. I had a flight to catch and also fell sick :-(.
I quickly went thru all the postings and just incredible work. Several users have posted questions and comments for me, that I will answer after everything settles down.
I havent signed up to the other thread yet, but will do so.
And as far as organizing and co-ordinating better, yes, certainly I will be part of the team. Whatever it takes guys!!

But one way to think about this is, this legislation does not affect you in a bad way in any way. Since your priority date is so good, you will be able to apply for 485 as soon as your labor clears.
But this legislation may improve the lives of thousands of your H1B brethren. So it is the right thing to do.
I already wrote this in this forum. About a month back, I was fighting for S1932 even with my labor, with PD 11/2003, stuck at Philly backlog center. People at the PBEC thread were making fun of me saying I was fighting for someone else. But I kept at it since it is the right thing to do, and miraculously, my labor was cleared two weeks back. If you follow JustWatching's tracker, mine is probably 1 of 2/3 Philly 2003 approvals, and mine is probably the last dated labor approved from PBEC. I have thought of that as a reward for doing the right thing in fighting for S1932 even though it wouldn't benefit me at the time.
So trust me, your time will come.

Dude you only have 3 new posts and started voicing your opinion, which is good, I should have done at least the same when I first filed my LC. This bill will let people to file AOS, adjustment of status( Green Card ) and AP is advance parole, travel document. Those whose LC is cleared, they will be able to file AOS, even the visa number is not CURRENT, your application just rest there without any touch, will give you benifit of filing AP and EAD, I think you know what EAD means, Employment Authorization Doc.

You are taking away our attention. I'm sure 40% of the forum here have their Labor stuck in BECs(mine too) but that doesn't mean we want to block somebody else's ways. Afterall getting extra Visas or getting the legislation that spouses will not be counted is not going to hurt anybody anyways. So why be jealous. As somebody said here, there's no FIFO exist

If this get passed, the proposed 290K GC will be over within a year, and we again will see the clog, and I have to wait for another 3 years just to file the GC. and for your kind info, there are about 300K LC got stuck in backlog this time. who cares about them? you? definately not.
