Processing time for green card based on asylum

FYI , 2023 started from oct 2022 . USCIS calendar starts from oct of each year that means in few month USCIS starts FY2024 . They published an article last year that they are trying to finish all the green card applications with in 6month by end of FY 2023 but as you see it doesn’t seems promising since many of us have been waiting for +6months and so on .For the past few weeks , I see more cases in 2022 and 2021 are getting decided and I’m not sure if they are shifting to older cases or not .
they're still processing more MSC23 than MSC21 and MSC22 based on the trackers, but there are many more applications being submitted this year compared to the previous two fiscal years. Maybe that's why! It's really unfair many of us have been waiting for 6+ months but imagine those who have been waiting for 2+ years. I personally think these deserve/need the green card more urgently than we do, and hopefully we won't reach the stage when it's been more a year :( the backlog and the government shutdown, in addition to COVID, made everything worse for us and much more unfair and absurd. And what makes it worse is that timelines and procedures are not clear or linear or predictable at all, leaving us in a complete silo. All of this to say that it's very unfair but there's also much to be hopeful and thankful for - each 1 of us is 1 in hundreds and hundreds of thousands so it's good to have perspective and not to think that USCIS revolves around 1 person or 1 application only.

No mistake i got rfe after 2 months still no decision. It took me 55 days to respond with medical but still not sure if that is the reason.

You are wrong, the processing more MSC23 because mostly MSC22 and MSC21 they finish with them.

I didn’t say why they are processing more applications. I am just saying there are more msc23 applications “SUBMITTED” than in previous cycles and yet they are still able to process at a higher rate but sadly not fast enough for us to expect it within 6 months from application date.

You gotta Talk to live agent too!!! When the time comes i will tell you our options.
Info-pass and live agent are no longer an available option, them 2 are unobtainable and impossible to achieve. The main thing is to be patient enough and wait/or drop a Mandamus, which in itself is not a good option. The contact center is robotized and will hang up on you, if you insist on speaking to a live agent.

Info pass is an old thing that doesn’t work anymore! There’s something different they use now to reach to a real person and it’s easy! Trust me from my experience I believe the too much inquiries and e-requests and talking to live agent will end up move your case! Even congressman man doesn’t work that much with most of the people but with others it works! Mandamus only works if you’re out of their processing times which isn’t the case here as they updated it to 29 months online and edited it to 29 months in all services centers! Thanks for your info but to be honest with you i know how i’m gonna push them all the way like i did before to get asylum interview and RTD without mandumus or anything! I hope the best for everyone tho

Yeah but uscis is not doing in 6 months only in the theory not in the practice.

I guess we can agree to disagree, being intrusive and aggressive in our approach to getting what we want isn't always effective, at least not for everyone. Keep in mind that USCIS is notorious for exercising its unpredictable regulatory practices. You are entiltled to your opinion - People have different interpretations (regulatory ambiguity) and feelings when analyzing USCIS situations and personal experience, none of this random advice is tied to a logical outcome, but solely depends on the roll of the dice or by chance.

In my opinion, everyone sees things from a different point of view. Sometimes things look big, but overall it's actually something small. I often try to look at problems from a different angle. Waiting patiently always means paying attention to what is happening before our eyes and seeing there the first rays of a glorious coming. Patience pays off, being aggressive and bold to get what we want doesn't.

Let us be patient, hopeful and confident about our cases.

I understand man but everyone of us have different reasons of why we are rushing the GC process i mean some people waiting the green card to start petition to bring their spouse who they married after getting their asylum approved while others needs it to buy condos or any type of properties cause in the midwest there are tons of banks wont approve your mortgage unless you’re a permanent resident but i heard in Cali and Florida they don’t care as long as you have asylum approval but you know each state has different laws!
Long story short most of the people who needs the GC asap they need it for a reason not to put it at home and that’s it! Ask the people who got neutralized they will tell you the citizenship didn’t change anything in their lives but just a passport to easily travel overseas! So when someone is stressed about the GC process that means there’s a reason behind it not just to have GC and that’s it so we need to understand that and not keep asking people hey you need to be patient while we don’t have any idea about their lives and we ain’t in their shoes! Some people been waiting for their Green cards since years and they don’t even bother cause there’s nothing rushing them to get it asap! It’s all about priorities.

Realest thing i have seen in awhile. i cant buy a house no gc aint risking it.

I understand the frustration from everyone but every case is different. Lets all pray we all get what we deserve which is GC after asylum. We almost there guys. we have 5 more months before the year end. whoever waiting for green card hopefuly hear something before the year end weather MSC20 21 22 23 does not matter we pray for approval PEACE AND UNTIL GC IN HAND.

And you didn’t do any action against them ? Why you didn’t do e-request ? Inquiry? Talk to tier 1 agent? When you sleep on your case with USCIS then don’t blame em’ but yourself! After 60 days by law you’re eligible to do e-request and check up with t

No i did not, i think i will send letter to congress office.
E request are not possible i applied for gc 1 year ago.

What do you mean by not possible ? If no decision after 60 days after the RFE was submitted then you can do e-requests and also talk to tier 1 live agent! Congressman not usually gonna move your case! I mean looks like you’re not in rush for the GC so it’s okay you can wait! Never ever in my life seen someone got RFE and no decision yet after 8 months and just did nothing! Good luck.

The case officer may take minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or even years to decide on your application EVEN after receiving the RFE they recently requested. The applicant may seek judicial review of their claim in the United States Federal District Court, by writ of Mandamus, but due to regulations and the power vested in USCIS, it has discretionary delay power (even in years) to render a decision on a case that could be decided in a matter of 6 months.

The Law is sometimes at odds with justice and the misuse of a position of power can take unjust advantage of individuals, and only a law suit can address that, but e-requests and talking(s) to tier-1 live agent won't cut it.

Thanks for the info! I don't think writ of mandamus is needed at this point hmmm I'm pretty sure that the decision will be sent soon by using different ways :) I appreciate you.
