Processing time for green card based on asylum

I applied for an adjustment of status based on asylum a month ago. I filled out all the forms and gave them to my lawyer to check for me. We submitted medical , proof of presence in the US ( pay stubs), I-94, birth certificate, asylum approval and passport copies, and copies of US visa), and my lawyer told me that the medical records should also be submitted now along with the forms to prevent unnecessary delays.

any update for us? i hope i get approved this week. its 30 day plus since i got my rfe sent and still has not updated to received
You should count the days from the day Fedex or USPS delivered the package not from the day they sent you RFE! Well I contacted my attorney and 2 different ones and they all told me the same! You’re in the final process of getting your GC and it’s so close than anytime before so just be patient and wait for it! Some told me it takes one month other told me up to 90-120 days and it all depends on your luck that’s it so I’m gonna wait till 60 days pass through then will do inquiry even though i feel like we gonna receive it soon but just in case!

In your case most likely you will see status updated to RFE was received then after 2-3 days case approved but from what i see 95% of the people who got approved after sending out the RFE they have to see RFE was received first then case is approved so just be patient and hopefully we hear good news soon!

thank you!

you can always travel with your own passport ( if not expired ) so it's not actually a necessity , correct ?

for the I-94 , when I arrived I got a B2 I-94 stamp , now that I got asylum that I-94 changed. on the I-485 form the questions seem to be about the arrival , don't you think ?
I put my asylum I-94 as well, too. When I was on a student visa, and before my passport expired, I wasn’t “issued” a I-94 when I entered the states - what i mean by that is that the departure/arrival record i had when I was on a visa could easily be found online when I enter my passport number and DOB.

Either way, you’re good! Your asylum I-94 is already part of the documents if you have it - and not every person who applies for AOS has a new I-94 issued to them so maybe that’s why the question is phrased as such. That was my experience but maybe others have a different view?

Best of luck dear! I hope your wait won’t be long at all!

The online status is sometimes really really out of sync and updates irregularly and in nonlinear fashion. My asylum case was updated to “approved” 4 months after I received the notice and also 1 month before it updated to “interview was scheduled” it’s not unlikely yours’ status will update to “new card being produced” directly but don’t worry; i am sure they received the evidence! ☺️☺️

Amen to that

What replies did you get when asking about your case? Anything valuable?

Hey Guys! Anyone here knows If I can transit in Turkey with my RTD (no GreenCard)? Do I need transit visa? I need to travel to India and be back via Turkey. I will only have few hours layover and not getting out of the Airport. Thanks in advance!

Hi Dakotaboy. I did and they knew nothing about RTD and deferred me over to Turkey Embassy. I tried calling Embassy several times but they don’t answer the call.
Anyone here has traveled to or via Turkey? Could you please share your experience! Thanks in advance!

It’s not the right place to ask about RTD or things like that here please that’s only for pending Greencards cases hmmm don’t distract us please with questions about RTD !

I asked because I see lots of postings regarding RTD travel concerns on this very thread. Also, this is not my first time discussing this topic. I have been getting pretty good advises on this topic in the past also.
