if you applied for asylum again instead of a GC, it makes sense you'd receive a rejection letter. you already were granted asylum - and that's what the rejection letter seems to say. Since you already cannot be removed thanks to asylum status last year, your 2nd application is obsolete.Hello everyone!
I was granted asylum last year, on April 2022, by the Immigration Court in Michigan. I filed my asylum application this year and mailed it to the USCIS Chicago office. Three weeks later, I got a rejection letter stating that the EOIR had terminated removal proceedings in my case. My I-485 application was returned to me as well. Attached is a copy of the letter sent by the USCIS. I’m confused about this and need your help. Do you think the filing address is incorrect?
