Processing time for green card based on asylum

yes, that's very true unfortunately for us! It's good to know that so that applicants adjust their expectations and not get anxious all the time about a perceived "delay." Hopefully the transfer will things faster!
Been waiting for 132 days as of today ! started to get anxious already if the new policy is to process within 6 months I only have 48 days left , I hate this feeling of uncertainty. Do you know anyone who got approved by 6 months?

That’s not true at all ! That officer was full of bs. Asylum seekers before trump never had interviews for greencard then trump came and some folks got interviewed in his era but now only few people get interviews if they have red flags on the security questions regarding the i-1485 form.

Don't worry at all! So many applications being approved by 6 months are not necessarily asylum-based. AOS includes a variety of green-cards, including family, marriage, and employment, in addition to refugees as well as asylees. Many of those have different metrics, requirements, conditions, and timelines. The online trackers do not differentiate the I-485 categories so it's absolutely not a rule that applications within your range will all get approved within the same timeline. Thousands and thousands of applications submitted in September, October, and November have not been approved yet, for instance. There is no reason to worry at all! If you want to go down the rabbit hole, which we all tend to do, you can check the insights chart per month and per range, and you'll see that thousands of applications those months and within your range have not been approved yet. don't worry at all! :D

I was interview on April 21, the immigration told me <<After 2021 most adjustments of status asylee based will be interviewed>>. A very few won't randomly be interviewed.
Hi. the form you shared dates back to December 2020 and has expired a long time ago. It is invalid. Nowadays, very few folks have to interview for AOS; the vast majority do not. The old report you are sharing was before Trump was voted and well before USCIS changed its regulations again. Even in that report, it says that USCIS can determine to waive the interview if it is unnecessary Please, for the sake of everyone's well-being and anxiety, please please be mindful that you're sharing is up-to-date and does not correspond to another period and is now invalid. I hope you kindly take my request with the good intentions I am sending it.

Come on!!! I been waiting for 9 months now and it’s all fine !!! Only very few got it in 6 months but asylee greencards usually takes from 8-15 months lately so you might have long way ahead so don’t panic!

As far as I know, you need minimum 2 doses of Covid vaccines for the I-693.

I don't think that its accurate, you can get Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
It's a single dose and you can get I-693 with it
Today I got my covid pfizer bivalent vaccine and they told me it’s only one dose. I just wanted to confirm it in here if anyone has experienced it.

07/2021 - I485 filed (no medicals)
10/2021 - fingerprints applied
03/2022 - medicals interfiled
04/2022 - expedite requested (rejected)
01/2023 - contacted to contact tier2 officer (didn't get any help)
01/2023 - contacted to Congressman office
04/2023 - case was approved
05/2023 - Green Card in hand (Backdated 1 year, expires in 11 years)

In May, September 2022, January and March 2023 I've sent 4 e-request (outside of normal processing time)
Congressman office also sent 2 inquiries on behalf of me.

Medicals were not included, I have interfiled them and sent to National Benefit Center but case never been updated, never received notification.
How do you interfile it? I have medical but never sent it with i485 show me how please

They're definitely wrong. The guidance is clear that we should "complete the vaccination series." either 1 J&J or 2 bivalent shots.

So my nurse practitioner was like that I am not Covid vaccinated before , so I need only 1 dose of pfizer bivalent shot. So confusing right now !!

He took the risk and did that but any attorney would advice you to wait until they send you RFE cause most likely without RFE the file will be lost by uscis employee! If you have two copies then interfile one but if you only got one you better wait until you get RFE to be in the safe side!

They are 100% wrong. https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements
they clearly say 1 or 2 doses "depending on the vaccine" (1 for J&J and 2 for the bivalent vaccine). this is what "completing the series" means. I would recommend sticking to the clear official guidelines and ignore what the practitioner said, otherwise you are confusing yourself and you don't need more anxiety. So please, complete the series and don't waste more time and more energy for your sake. Much love to all of you

it's not confusing. the practitioner is wrong and there is no need for you to keep thinking about it when the guidelines are clear.

You can find info here
Yes, it was a risk, because when I contacted to USCIS they advised me not to send and wait for the RFE.
But I had 2 copies and I sent one of them.
I was confused where to send it, my case was still at the NBC so I sent it to the address at the bottom of the I485 notice (I-797).
