Processing time for green card based on asylum

How do you know all of these are refugee base I-485 ? I think These datas are for all kind of I-485 basis ( family , work , asylum ,etc ) so the data does not give you information on basis of I-485 . which we do not know if all basis have been treated the same or one has faster processing time .we don’t know Which office is reviewing each cases and many more . In general cases are moving faster but not all cases get approved within 1-5 months .
A little trick to identify refugee based i485 cases: these always showed "fee waived" in case history if you check these on some case-tracker website. From what I know, it seems impossible for EB based, family based, marriage based 485 cases to apply for fees waiver. One more thing, some asylees with low incomes can aslo apply for there 485 fees waiver.

Congratulations

I applied my i485 on Feb 2021 and Still it’s pending. You guys are very lucky
Sorry to hear that. But I think your case drop into the USCIS 'black hole". USCIS announced there new goal of expediting all case processing on April, 2022. They stated i-485 would be processed within 6 months in future. I think it's kinda "propaganda", especially for these cases submitted before April, 2022. But things are going well from April, 2022 to August 2022, they resolved half of the backlog asylee based 485 cases (almost 50,000 cases being approved). USCIS might still use the "LIFO" rule to approve recent submitted cases, you know, it is better to achieve their previous promise and present a "beautiful" KPI on the year-end report.

Yeah, it’s in the BLACK HOLE, the famous black hole of USCIS. USCIS is not even responding to ombudsman request (it’s been 24 days). I don’t know what to do anymore

How about cases applied after August 2022?

Writing of mandamus is the only language that USCIS could understand. Take care..

Over 100+ I-485 applications starting with MSC23 got approved on 4-10-2023 !!
It’s all about luck!! No data or things like that gonna benefit your case unless you just trying to feel better mentally but trust me with USCIS no data or guess works with them! They are in a deep chaos

Fingers crossed lets see , wish me luck !

this really doesn't mean that yours or mine will get approved very soon. It's really very random. And MSC23 applications are those that been filed for the past 6+ months since it's the fiscal year; and most of them are not asylum-based, and many of them have priority dates. These are all factors, and all of this makes it even more unpredictable. It's brutal and absurd and frustrating, but I'd be mindful about getting too excited or raising other people's hopes over something that isn't indicative or reliable, for your and everybody's sake :D I hope it gets approved very soon - and if it does, the reason is still random and chaotic hahah.
