DOT : 030.062-010
Case Type: EB2 (RIR)
SESA Date : 05-02-2003
Received in Philly : 08-29-2003
Just waiting, wainting, waiting ....

question (lost passport)

i had a question regarding lost passport.
i lost my passport 2 years back, but luckily my I-94 was not stapled to the same.
Now my validity of current visa ends in Sept this month.

I would be applying for the extension for the visa. I understand that extension of visa is different that revalidation.

I have 2 questions
1. for the extension, would there be any issue.
2. for the revalidation, would there be any issue.

Please pursue professional help.
I really feel this is going to be some thing serious issue.

Anyway:
1. No issues, but, you need to submit copy of your passport.
2. How can you revalidate without pasport? Ravaidation means, getting Visa stamped on your passport.
 
Lost Passport Continuation

Hi,

I am such a mix .. that ..
My Labor is on these days and I am awaiting my federal decision.

I have got a duplicate passport made, and got it renewed twice and now it is valid till 2009.

You're right 'extension of visa' is entirely different from 'revalidation'.

1. for the extension, would there be any issue.

A. As far as I know there should not be any issue, since you're holding a valid H1B visa. But, when you apply for H1B extension I would suggest you to submit all the supporting document elucidating them the story behind your 'lost passport'.

2. for the revalidation, would there be any issue.

A. I suggest you to seek some professional help.

How it will take for the case to showup in AVM after transfering from SESA

My case was also transeferred to philly from VA SESA on 04/05/2004, but I am not able to find my case in AVM, I was wondering whether you were able to find your case in AVM.

No update on my end. Received date 08/22/03, VA SESA.

Not sure what is going on with the VA SESA applications at Philly DOL???
 
If you Can't find your case in AVM

If you are talking about the website, the AVM is completely out dated.
If you are talking about the phone line, it takes about a month to get your case number, from there, you should be able to find your case there.

No progress in my case AVM has same old message. My lawyer has promised me to send a reminder to Phily DOL, I think it's not sent yet.

DOL Website updated.

FYI,

RIR ---> June 2003
NON-RIR ---> February 2003

This is totally absurd. How long we’re going to wait for our LC to be certified? Don’t to you all feel that, we waited too long? Is there anything we can do to get things going fast?

I really don't know, what is the holdup? I believe your lawyer gave them, what they requested? So, why DOL analyst/Certifying office are taking too long? Did you try to call them again?
