Hello all,
My lawyer just called me and faxed me a copy of my 45-day BEC letter. The letter is dated Feb 17, 2005 and he received it today (Feb 23, 2005). They have requested the following in the corrections list:

Verification of the employer is completed during the initial review of the application. We were unable to verify the employer's existence. In order to continue processing, you must submit a copy of the employer's articles of incorporation, business license, state registration or other official documents that establish the employer applicant as a bona fide business entity.

Failed existance check: Employer's address does not reference back to employer's name.
Failed existance check: Employer's phone number does not reference back to employer's name.

Gurus, please let me know how your attorney responded to the above issue.

My employer is a large well known company with more than 3500+ employees. My lawyer told me that he was at the DOL conference last month and DOL mentioned about some problem with their database and some technical glitch with their application. Hence the failed existence check.
 
ETC case number

Hi

For the ETC case number, like P-04302-30xxx, can last 5-digit (30xxx) represent the sequence of cases based on PD?

I noticed that earlier PD has smaller last 5-digit number. First 5-digit may mean the date entering database as many others said.

This is just a guess. If anyone has better idea, please reply.
 
It's funny... Philly seems to be sending P-04352-0XXXX series letters...
but looks like lots of people are waiting for letter after P-04310-XXXXX

Looks like there is no solid logic to track the 45-day letters :-(

You cann't bet on BEC based on any logic:) But above compiled list gives some guess work with most of the cases.
 
Reponse from Dallas

I just got the reply from Dallas center and was told that my new case number is T-04275-11XXX. The first letter is neither D nor P. Does anybody receive the similar case number?
I didn't receive the letter yet, maybe that's why the first letter is 'T'.

Hello, there:

My case # also starts with "T", which means temporary, these are cases that are not completely done with data entry and further work will be needed before "45-day" letter can be generated for them. This "T" thing does not make any sense to me at all, there might be some other background information about it.

Ya, the HR has the letter and is a pain to deal with. Therefore wanted to get the info from DOL. If they do not reply back, then I shall go back to HR for that.

I think we got the same letter as well- to check for existence. Not sure if the lawyer has responded back or not, as yet

Responce can be from any of the BEC as they use only one Database.

Me too received the response from Dallas BEC. No love letter yet. Dalls replied me after a day

Here are my case details:
Priority Date: October 31,2002
Receipt Date: June 22, 2004
BEC Case Number: P-04282-15***
 
I got the following response from Phily status check

"At this time, we are unable to provide any status information on Permanent Labor Certifications. Please contact your employer or attorney for additional information."

What does it mean?

Case details: MD/RIR/EB3 PD Feb 12, 2002
