There seem to have been no approvals since Wednesday after the site went down. Makes me think that they may still be having some issues in the system

No Movement for last few days

Hi Folks,
No activity and no approval coming in. Is DOL on long holiday...

Details on your conversion PERM

Could you please give any other details of ur conversion case in terms of 'identical' applications, did your lawyer file any amendments to make the old and new application same. Thanks.

Latest updates. DOL seems to be on a complete crawl. Praying for an October burst!

I agree an October burst will help clear a lot of us on the tracker list.

creative10,

Consufed with different answers.

I am just searching the other threads in this forum, and I found that some people got their extension based on their future employer LC?

If you knwo can you please give me good reason why can't I get the exten here?

Thanks

Yes, you can work with company A on H1-B and apply LC with company B and still get seventh year extension with company A on the basis that your LC is in process with company B only condition that your application for LC should be atleast a year old.

Do not be confused I am currently in that situation myself and I have
checked with Rajeev.

Actually not. All that is required is that a LC has been filed 365 days before the end of the H-1B (the 5/12/05 Yates memo sheds more light on this). Some lawyers are even of the opinion that an approved LC from a now defunct company can potentially be used (since as of now LCs are valid indefinitely). Of course care should be taken in that case and probably avoided if possible.

You can't. You have to be employed with the company that is doing your LC, to extend your H1

Great!!! Thanks rajht. just for clarification, with PD Dec 2003, is it matter if it is approved LC or in pending LC, I still can go with the extension, right?

Thanks
Sree
