verant123, this is NY Regional DOL. In NY State DOL AVM, one can not check status of a case using case number.

Do you happen to know how many cases NY DOL receive on average per day ?

Also, any idea why there is a concentration of 200 cases / day around the 20th of April that makes them move only 3 days during an entire month.

1. NYDOL received around 200 cases on April 20th and same number on April 21st . But on April 19th NY DOL had received less number of cases ( in tens).

3. However those cases which are denied, status of those cases are updated

Cases moving to Regional

The other thing that we need to be aware of based on what I have seen in the past is that NY SWA sends cases in batches to NY DOL.

So it could be that the April 20 cases represent a week worth of cases sent from NY SWA.

IND77 - have you tried April 18 or April 22 - to see if any cases or few cases were transferred on these dates?
 
may be its one month cases , becoz we didnt get any info from other days regarding Regional

when i try to call this number 212 337 2193, its giving engage sound,may be they are updating or someone uding this phone system

For a very big change, my lawyer called me today and told me that they are expecting to hear for my case (Oct,01) in near future as Sept 01 is being processed in SESA. They said that they have not received any Sept cases yet but some August cases have come through. On a sad note, they are getting lot of RFEs and few approvals. Hope I am one of the lucky ones.

Can you please ask your lawyer the common reason for lot of RFEs? If its skill set related then its very scary for some of us. Also, are these RFEs mostly for one particular employer?
 
Finally something

I got a reply from my Lawyer. The state DOL asked for some info. My Lawyer sent me the following email:

"We received an assessment notice from the DOL on 6/28 in which the DOL is
requesting information on the company name change (from XXX to YYY). We will be preparing a response to this notice and file same with the DOL."

After exiting April 2001, NY SWA was quick in processing cases upto Sep 2001. But after that, I do not see even one instance where Oct 2001 or later cases were reported in this forum. :confused:

Could this have something to do with a new DOL fiscal year starting October of every year.

maybe those guys in NY State are thinking to send our cases to backlog centers that's why they are taking more time to go from state to Regional

mine is sept 1st week,still no news
my attorney is in touch with state dept.

hope we'll get some info soon
 
Is NY SWA is processing one month in a month duration? If so Is there a possibility to for 2002 january and february applications to be processed by end of this year? Is ther any cutoff time as to when the backlog cases will be moved to baclog centers...

Your case should be processed any day, May be your papers are already at regional. Keep the faith.

mine is still in state only,it didnt went to regional.
everyday i'll check regional avm number ,so mine is still in state
hope it goes to regional as per you say
 
DOL AVM updated on July 1st

It seems NY DOL is updated today .
There are 46 cases received on July 1st
starting 025-08-283 to 025-08-329
but most of the cases are not computer related.
They have dot codes like529.687-186,313.361-014,869.664-014 etc
what are these occupations any idea?
where can Iget descrptions for DOL DOT codes..I checked DOL site but not find DOT codes..
