New York City Transfers

Hey mygc101

Not really

Yeah, It does get delayed for a month or two, But nothing to do with oct 1. deadline. It was told to me that every month there is a particular amount of quota for stamping for people who are interview. so if you are interview like somewhere at the end of the month then you probably will have to wait till the next month for the next months quota.

Anyways, My friend is getting interview tomorrow. We will come to know about it from the horses mouth. let see.

Yes, keep us posted regarding this issue. According to my attorney New York will stop interviewing anyone with PD prior to what is announced in the bulletin based on country of origin.

Interviews already scheduled do not fall into that criteria. I would be really interested to see whether anyone with more recent PD gets scheduled in October.

So keep this forum updated of any info you hear. I've taken an infopass for next week so will report anything i can find out.

Hey Guys,

I have to inform you all that, My freind was interview on friday, and was told that his GC will be in mail after the approval notice in 3 -4 months time.

So I guess they are still interviewwing people but not stamping it due to visa unavailability. howz that for run of bad luck. well hopefully we will be through someday soon.

Hey Folks

How is it going, Looks like there are lot like myself looking for freedom here, I just finished watching TVasia - Immigration by Suresh Dalal and let me tell you , If he is telling the truth then we are in for a long wait . But hey who knows what we going to see next.

When it comes to choose between "luck" or "wait", I think I will choose wait cause being lucky was never on my agenda.

But hey all I guess since we ae here for a long time, might as well be firends and keep in touch. How bout dat!!!

Gentelmen:
I got a letter inviting me for the stamping to Federal Plaza in Nov 2005. So, it took just 4 month between interview and stamping, just a blink by INS standards.

Hey Friends

How is everything going, Looks like everyone has been entering the data sincerely. and lots of them are like very close to priority date of april 30,01
and almost transferred arounf 2004,

When do u guys expect us to get an interview. Do you think they will be sending any more interview letters inspite of retrogression.

What do y'all think.

Newyorker,

Not too much point in speculating and raising our hopes in vain. Let's see what happens on the next bulletin, although I personally do not expect much movement this year. However, all you need is a month so I think you will be in very good shape soon.

2. My petition is EB1a, extraordinary ability as medical scientist. I recenly enrolled MD program here in NY, so my employment status became half time as of Aug 15th, 2005. I should bring employment letter with past two paystuds according to list of stuff. Do you think my part-time status and full time medical student will affect thier decision?

Take the letter, pay-stubs, W-2 and transcipts of 1040's, those are the only ones they asked me.
EB-1A does not require a job offer, so in theory you do not have to show that you will have a full time employment. However, being a student and having an extraordinary ability (a Nobel-prize level by formal USCIS rules) may raise some eyebrows. I would take along a lawyer.
