It seems like if you are waiting so long for the Interview. If that is the case then I have to wait for more than a year. So let me not worry too much now on this

By mistake I put my TD as March 2002
It is March 2004
Yes,I think almost 15 months is too much time to wait just to be schedule for a interview....I got really upset because my labor was approved in only 4 months and my I-140 in only 9 months since the prosessing date, and now I just got stuck with this I-485 pending for interview. You are rigth, don't worry too much, just relax e wait, try to do another things before you go crazy! Good lucky.

NYC transfers

Hi,
My case was transferred to NYC. My RD is 09/01 and my transfer date is 11/02. I have heard nothing about when my interview might be scheduled and have gone to federal plaza, written letters, contacted senator, etc. to no avail. The one thing they did tell me at federal plaza is that interviews are scheduled based on TD and not RD and that when the processing date on the USCIS site crosses my TD then they will look further into my case. It is now 31 months since my RD!!!
I have no idea what else there is to do but wait.

MSC tansfer or NYC transfer?

Yesterday I was very very upset when I found out that our cases have been transfered to MIssori service on Apr 5.
OUr RD was Feb 2002, and after having been anxiously waiting for more than two years, only found out that we need to wait for more.
That is so unfair. I didn't know what the reason why we were transfered, my husband is the primary, got PHD in top 20 school in 2001, never changed job, and lived in the same apartment, put our everything on hold for these years, trying our every possible way not to let the case be complicated, and guess what we still got transfered.
I don't understand why missori, we works in NYC, and lives in NJ. our case is EB1, and filed from NYC. I called our lawyer which didn't offer any help.
I didn search on the web site and seems to me that NYC local transfers are now processed at MSC, can we hope MSC center will be quick than NYC at scheduling the local interview.

local transfer tracking

After browsing some threads, I compose xls file for the local transfer tracking. pls feel free to update it if you have any information, this will help us to go thru this long painful journey.

Don't worry about your case being processed in Missouri. You will still be interviewed in NYC. You should read through some of the older correspondence as they address this issue.

On a different note, there was an article in the NYT about processing times entitled "wait for U.S. Residency soars over 18 months span". I have attached a link to the article below but if it does not work you can read it on the NY regional section.

Hi GC022002

I am just curious to know how you found out that your case was transferred to Missouri. Did you receive any notice from INS?
I am asking because I know my case is been processed in MSC and they are going to schedule my interview (to take place in NYC) some time after July/04 because I went to NYC local office to find out status of my case, but I did not receive any notice from INS. The only thing that happend recently was that when I submited EAD application to NYC ( my 3rd one) they forward it to MSC and my EAD was processed there. My case online message still says that I am waiting to be scheduling for interview in NYC...

I found out we are transfered to MSC online, it is said

On April 5, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case. If you need further information, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283

we haven't receive any letter yet.

Hope it anwsered your question.

I've got the same message, but it starts with:
On january 6,2003 we transferred your I 485 Application to Register Permanent Residence to our office in NEW YORK CITY................(rest is the same)................

Believe or not my interview schedule is been pending for 15 months! That is why they say "scheduling can take several months".........why they dont just say: YEARS????

Hi tata2003,
From the previous thread, I found out that actually we are in very similiar receiving date, all Feb 2002, but you seems luckier than us is that your case was processed one year earlier. Did you ever receive any letter indicating your case was transfered to NYC?

Thanks

Here is the info of my case: PD:02/07/2001,Labor was approved in 4 months and got 1st EAD 03/04/2002 .My RD:02/01/2002 and ND:02/15/2002.Case was transferred to NYC:01/06/2003,actually we are on our 3rd EAD.No advance paroles,no RFE,no FP2.
I did received a letter from NYC office 15 months ago when my case was transferred, but from MSC I only received notice for biometrics and the 3rd EAD.

Reason for Transfer

My lawyer told me that those applications which are not go through Labor Cetification such as EB1 and EB2 NIW are very likely being transfered to local office for an interview.

Mine is EB3 and I got transferred.I am sorry, but, the thing is that I do not believe the lawyers anymore! My lawyer is one of the best lawyers in NYC and he keeps promising things that are only"guesses"...I am so mad!!!

Because my lawyer wasn't there at the interview with my family the officer took advantage of the situation by asking for documents that weren't necessary.

help

We are scheduled to have interview in NYC on 4/26. Do we need to redo the medical? They sent us in the envelop the medical exam form.

We did the medical when we start applying for I-485. It was back in 2001. They were running short of Tetanus vacinne at the time and we did not get it. Now the doctor says that we need the full exam.

Bad news...

Did you check it out???????
NYC processing dates for our I485 changed to 2001...
Iam so mad!!!!!What is going on????

now familly based GC is now processing in MSC, so it definetely reduce the load of NYC, and some of EB based local transfer are now processing at MSC too, so why the processing date moved back, it confused me too.

Moving forward

Just got my interview notice for 5/17 in Garden City and my 2nd FP notice for tomorrow (received the letter yesterday). Have not received anything for my wife. My RD was 9/01 and TD 11/02.

Deguchi I already had my interview at garden city since last aug 28,2003. I got a final request form and had to submit financial report from my company because of job change. It's been 8 months now I haven't heard anything after i submitted the final documents for approval. Hope everything goes well on your interview. Please let me know how it went.
