I was in the same boat. My lawyer received our receipts on Sep. 22,
when we were re-filing our I-485 applications. My detail are
MD 06/08,
RD 08/29 (actual 06/12 by the USPS track#),
ND 09/18,
WAC-01-262-xxxxx,
NO AP, EAD,
EB1 OR.

The WAC# is reasonable for my MD.

Received AP for Me and wife

Hi
 received AP Approved notices for me and my wife on 09/27.
 Approved on 09/20. I got two copies each.

 My lawyer won\'t send receipts for us .

 Waiting for EAD/I-485 AD.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, WAC number looks normal but that is not what I was expecting (I mean hoping)! RD and ND are the important ones! RD to count 180 day rule as per AC21, and as per INS, it follows ND to process cases (note that FP fax enquiry can be sent only after 120 days after ND).

I wanted to delete your name from this list but then I thought some one could benifit by looking into remarks why the application was sent back and can be more careful before writing check(s), so left it there.

Your lawyer MUST send you atleast copies of all your receipts! What is the reason he/she is saying for not sending them to you? Atleast find out your RD, ND and WAC numbers. You need this information to enquire status about your case etc.

Is it company\'s attorney?

GOT iEAD

I got my interim ead (valid for 90 days) 9/28
at san fransico. Other than the long wait, there is
nothing new to share.

CSC JIT is based on ND, but one can count 90 days from RD to get iEAD.

As per Fed Ex they got my file on 7/19/01..but they put RD as 8/27

is thesere anyway to coreect this???

In the recent past I saw few cases where CSC put different RD than the actual one. What is your ND? If you got proper ND (comapre to others who mailed around your MailDate) then probably that RD error may not be a big problem. RD matters only to count some dead lines, like - to count 90 days to get iEAD, if your visa is expiring and you want to cout I-485 filing to be in status, or if you want to count 180 days as per AC21 to change jobs etc. But as far as I kow INS processes cases based on ND.

If you want this problem corrected then you can try by sending a fax. See following link (about sending fax enquiry, how to correct error on receipts/approvals)

Used photocopies

I used photo copies of EAD & 485 receipt.
These were returned back to me, once they issued
iEAD.

Hi Mat Stopper,

We used photocopies of both the receipts(I-485, I-765). We reached there at around 1:30 am yesterday, there were about 30 people before us. By the time it was 7:00 in the morning, I think about 80 people were before us, which I found ridiculous - I can understand the problem of standing in the que with a baby, but I saw many adults also joining the person standing in the que from the night before. Anyway... I saw the mainly Indians are doing that... our old habit.

We went in at around 8:10 in the morning, at were done by 8:50. For me both the receipts were checked, I produced photocopies only. For my wife they didn\'t even check the I-485 receipt. And, all the receipts were returned to us. And thats it...
 
Very important Question

Hi PCee and other gurus,

I have a question. I am new to this list. First here is my 485 related info :
WAC# 01-260-5XXXX, EB2, CSC, RD : 6/12/01, ND : 08/17/01, AP : 08/29/01 and waiting for EAD, FP and of course 485 approval too. My question is regarding EAD : What is the difference between I-765 30 day and I-765 90 day cases ? How will I know which one ( 30 day / 90 day ) my application is for ?

I appreciate all your help folks. Thanks in advance.
