I thnk I was wrong about receipts...

My previous answer was based on one of my friend\'s conversaiton with his attorney. His attorney asked him to fill C/O address so that all the communication goes directly to the attorney and nothing misses even if my friend moves to different place. I was just going through Murthy Chat and here is Ms.Sheela Murthy\'s response to similar question...

Chat User : AOS was filed by Attorney. Are there 3 separate receipts for I-485, EAD, and AP? Who gets the receipt/s, FP notice, RFE, I-485 Approval, EAD, AP - employee or attorney?

Attorney Murthy : All papers, including receipt notices are generally issued to the attorney on record. There are 3 separate notices for each form / application. Actual EAD card and AP document are, however, normally sent directly to the applicant, while all others, including RFEs are mailed to the attorney. FP notice goes to both you and the attorney. Approval notice is sent to both as well.

So your receipts will go to your attorney. Sorry for giving you wrong answer previously.

My friend (I mentioned about in my previous response) actually gave C/O address of the company, attorney is also involved but he got his receipts (they were sent to his home)!!!

Now I am really confised about this.

When can I expect my 485 to be approved..

My i-485 receipt date is 06/14/01.
When can I expect my application to approved.
Any help is appreciated.

My lawyers have refused to get the status for me. It\'s seems impossible for them to track a canceled check. I have not received anything. I am currently on the phone for an IIO (as I type). Will update you as soon as I hear something.

When you get an IIO ask them to search the system using your DOB and lastname (first name is not needed, it\'s one another thing to spell and probability for mistakes). Don\'t say any thing about checks, your attorney etc. If the IIO says your checks are cashed long back then find out why receipts are not mailed yet! I am guessing that like few others in this thread probably your checks got cashed but receipts are not sent out.

Why your receipts got delayed so much?

Based on your ND I guess you need to receive your receipts very long back! How come they are delayed so much? Are they mailed directly to you or to your attorney? If you got them can you please check postmark to see when they are mailed to you?

I was looking for some clues about why receipts are not yet mailed in some cases.

No Receipts still

MD: 06/13
Checks cashed on 08/23. I called my lawyer several times already but no luck. Are there any other people with similar situation.
 
It was mailed to my attorney

and the attorney mailed to the HR in my company. HR notified me after they received. I think that\'s reason why it got delayed.

Hope you can receive yours pretty soon. Please let me know if you have more questions.
