Nebrasaka I-140 Excel Scanner ..

Hi friends,

I wanted to give you a tip on how to scan the excel for the full month in one shot, once you get the cases for almost each day. Since now almost all the members here already have scan results for their dates, it will be easy..

Like, suppose A scans 1 sept, B scan 3 sept, C scan 8 th sept and so on... you will all need to put all the different date's cases into one date, say into 1 sept cases(one under another).. so you will now have all the 140's of different dates in 1st sept excel sheet.. Then when you press Alt-F8 select the 1st sept case number and run.. This will run all the cases in that sheet which includes the dates of all of sept.. and you can then filter which are approved, which are RFE's easily with one run..

I am attaching my August Excel here as an example.. I removed lots of approved/completed cases from the excel.

You guys can have your own monthly excel file..

If i need to run of Oct 2003 what are the steps that i need to do. Also how to generate these LIN numbers

Let us share our scanner excel files

This looks like a good idea. I have the scanner covering the dates Oct 10-13 (my ND is 20th Oct :) ). If anybody has their other dates from Oct1st thru 9th, pl share with me.

jaiganesh, it would be better if you rename your escel file to something like 140-october.xls , this way it is easy to identify the month of the excel.

Re: dasarihp_newid

nelabor,

Read the posts 1 and 4 in under this thread. Here is it briefly.

1. Download the excel scanner file.
2. Open it and press Alt+F8.
3. Choose I-140 scan. Enter the first 5 digits of the LINs (ex:04-013) and Ok.
4. Enter the range (ex:50100-50999) and Ok

It will open the browser and gets the details within few minutes, the excel will show the LINs with the status. When you run for second time, it will be faster,as it just scans the existing LINs from the excel sheet.

LIN-04-013-51000 thru LIN-04-013-51995 ( approx 1000 cases )

hi Dmun

Does this scanner run only once in a day ? Also can we change the range of numbers while running the next time ?

Less approvals

Seems like there are less approvals now a days.. What are the H1B officers doing ??? Is it that they are trying to finish the h1B approvals first???? Although the H1B quota has been reached, not that approvals are completed....

I was hoping to see some steam in the NSC...

Re: hi Dmun

nelabor,

We can run the scanner any number of time a day, as long as our IP address is blocked for the day by the site. Once run, since the results are written to the Excel file in a tab for the date(ex:04-013), when we run the next time for the same date, it does not even ask for the range. All it does is just query for the existing LINs in the excel work sheet.

To modify your query for the date, pl delete the tab for the date, and you are good to go.

nelabor,

The first time we run the scanner, it queries the INS site for all the numbers in the range given. So it queries 1000 times (ex:if range is 50001-50999). The INS site considers this as a high number of queries from one IP address, so it blocks the IP for 24 hrs. You may wait for 24 hrs, and run the tracker tomorrow.

Tip: Pl save the results in the Excel, so the subsequent scans wont' take more time, and hence our IP is not blocked.

If you are running this scanner from home, then you can probably release the IP provided by your ISP, and then run the scanner again for the LIN numbers starting from where you got your Access Denied message.

I am in the process of setting up the excel sheet for the month of December, and have completed the last 5 days of December. If there is someone who has the other dates in December let me know, and we can compile that into a single sheet, as suggested in one of the previous posts. That was a great idea!

------ From one of lawyer site he says that H1b offices shifted for I-485 in NSC

So again, till you file law suit, nothing happens.

If some other person files law suit for the EXTREME delay in I-140 processing, which is stopping us to use AC21 rule to change employers, then USCIS will send these officers to I-140 processing unit.
