Nebrasaka I-140 Excel Scanner ..

I have an excel file which runs the required macro for scanning I-140's from BCIS website. It opens a browser and runs the query on the website like you do manually.. It then prints the results for the range of cases that is provided..

open the excel,
press Alt-F8 ,
it will ask for which case day, you can give something like, 03-256, press ok
it will ask for which case # range, give something like 50000-52000.. press ok..

The macro will kick of, opens a browser and runs the scan for that day's case range you have given.. You will see live as the cases gets added to the excel.

Once you have the cases, the next time you run on the same day's cases, it will only run on the cases that are listed in the excel, so it won't run on 2000 cases, and will run only on probably 50 I-140 cases in your excel, and will be pretty fast..

the first time you run it will take long time(depending on the range).//

THERE IS BIG WARNING FOR YOU GUYS IF YOU WANT TO RUN YOURSELF, IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 5-10 I-140 CASES IN YOUR RANGE WHICH ARE NOT THERE IN THE BCIS SYSTEM, or IF YOU SCAN MORE THAN 1000 CASES, THEN YOUR IP ADDRESS WILL BE BANNED FOR 24 HOURS. YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR ONE DAY TO CONTINUE..

/////

The credit for this excel goes to kashmir, kenboo, etc..

I modified the code to include, LIN #'s instead of WAC #'s//

FOR MORE INFO YOU CAN GO TO THAT FORUM..

I am attaching the excel below in the 4 th reply in this thread.. If you guys want to run your own scans, you can do so, and add your range to the master SCAN excel !! ..

Let me know if you have any questions.. !!

This week I think totally only 15/300 I track for august have been approved,, hope more approvals will come next week..

Hi Nebraska processing dates for I-140 for skilled professionals shows 26-May-03. Does it mean that they are processing files they receieved in 26-May-03. I am seeing in this therad. I-140's getting approved for people who filed in AUG-03. How can they approve AUG-03 cases if they are showing 26-MAY-03 in INS web site. Can some one clear my doubts.

Thanks
Arun

It actually means that they are processing Cases that are May 26th "ONWARDS"
The dates (as I believe) are based on statistical data pertaining to the time taken for processing a single case per the number of applicants.
Yes as of what we are seeing the BCIS seems to be processing Aug 2003 cases.

My Scan results of yesterday and today morning..

I am including Aug 26 cases too..

LIN0325051268 Approved 2/18/2004 Received 8/21/2003

Thanks dasarihp_newid,

I guess that they might be working on final batch of H1B premium cases for next 2 weeks since they need to be processed in 2 weeks and then hopefully we can see 140 cases moving fast..

Just got my IP blocked.
Could some one run the scanner and let us know todays lucky LIN numbers please.

Naggi,

I just ran the scanner, one case got approved yesterday but got updated today.. LIN0324551244..

otherwise no updates for range of 10 days( 238-250) in Aug..
I guess the adjudicators must be working on Final batch of H1 premium cases, we can expect some movement starting next tuesday.

nash140,

It might be possible that they haven't updated the online status and hopefully today or tomorrow, we are going to see some approvals, when they update.

any comments???

I guess this could be true...because the last few weeks we saw a surge of approvals (or RFEs) on Fridays..
OR
may be they are still working on the premium H1-b processings
batches and after they are done ..they would allocate more officers for other low priority stuff..(like i140,i485)

OR
May be those guys are just as fustrated with their jobs as most of us are ! and want to Purposely work slow..

Can we find out how many I-140's were filed monthwise and how many were approved? Well! My RD is 9/10/2003 and ND is 9/16/2003 - trying to figure out how far in the queue I am. ;)

Does 'nt the fact that that the H1 quota has reached mean that all 65000 H1's have been approved? I mean assume they say 65000 quota reached, and then realise that 100 or so cannot be approved (for whatever reason!), then they have under issued. My point is that probably they have completed issuing the H1's.

FYI :All talk no juice ?

Here are some excerpts from an update by NSC on the 10th of Jan 204

Processing details regarding backlogs and the number of cases received by the center.

*The processing times at present are 60-90 days for I-129s. Majority of the I-140s are at 180 days, and a few I-140s moving at a longer processing times. Hence the center is targeting on I-140s depending on labor certifications. The center is concentrating on closing out the last of the 10,000 asylee adjustments, for I-485s and will then move them to the employment-based adjustments and refugee processing.

*The number of case receipts is on an average of about 115,000 per month. On the whole the center has finished 70,000 cases in June, 104,000 in July and the center foresees 120,000 completions in August.

*Adjudication of auxiliary benefits prior to approval of the I-140 filed concurrently with the I-485
Cases that successfully proceed through a prima facie review of the I-140 do result in adjudication of the I-765 and I-131 prior to adjudication of the I-140.

*The center will be getting 14 new officers and will complete adjudications of the present 10,000 asylee adjustments. In providing additional staff there will be a decline in processing times.
