Nebrasaka I-140 Excel Scanner ..

Any comments guys.
Just that I am a little bit confused...Why would it be "stupidity" if BCIS approves cases faster. Do we or don't we want faster approvals and even if they are approving it "out of turn" it's okay (not great) ..its one case less in the pile and one more happy applicant.:)
My 2c

I don't think those things matter. If that is true then, if somebody from company like Microsoft files I-140 petition, they should get their approval in 24 hours.....

Nothing we can do. USCIS does not know that August,September 2003 come before January 2004.

Re: What are the possible reasons that I-140 get approved so fast

Congratulations Kumar74 for your quick I-140 apporval.
I guess your LC PD matters(the longer the LC PD the quicker I-140 Approval???, again this my guess only) in getting your quick I-140 approval trick.

Thanks,
kvrp

It looks your guess and guess of others about NSC way of working is not correct. NSC works the way they like or the role your GOOD LUCK or BAD LUCK plays. Look at case of Naanshi and others, who are suffering for years. My LC took 18 months (PD is July 2001) and I140 is pending for over 12 months. No RFE, no change in status. Company is constantly making profit, has over 1000 employees, is a manufacturing company. I140 of another friend working with me in same company filed 3 months after me cleared in 5 months, his LC took 10 months, so there is no logic. It is pure your GOOD LUCK or BAD LUCK.

sunks,
Sorry to hear that you have such a long labor & I-140 waiting times. No hard feelings from my previous post. You are right in saying that my guesses are completely incorrect. I totaly agree with your post with regards to the invidual GOOD LUCK or BAD LUCK role. Based on my few freinds' expreciences with USCIS i posted my comments.

Thanks,
kvrp.

Hi al_paso

Yes, I am talking about I 140 only. I need to apply I 485 now.

Yes, My company has more than 700 employees. But one more thing is there are some of my friends who applied in Sept, 03 and later (from same company)are waiting for the approval. All we have the same profile(EB3 , RIR).

Recd Date: 27th, Jan 04
Approved: 5th, March 04
Cat : EB3, RIR

Timing

Guys,

Don't be frustrated. By looking at the pattern, they are working on CP, EB2,EB1 cases. If you see approved cases, you will get the idea.

Hi kvrp, No question of any hard feelings against any one. It is the way Immigration System work here. We all say that working of Govt Channels is bad in India but that is known and hard fact. But people sitting in India talk of such an automated, transparent, scientific, modern way of working in US and when we come across the system like USCID, we truly know WHAT ILOGICAL OR MESSY WAY OF WORKING CAN BE IN US. Any Comments ......

Al-paso, what I meant was that why other I-140 are getting delayed and on what basis their apprving some of the cases ealier than expected. I mean what make them to approve earlier. I'm happy for those who got their I-140 approved before expected.

pardon my ignorance guys, but when abid32 mentioned about the various cases - CP, EB1, EB2.. a question came up in my mind - when receiving the application for I-140, does the officer know the case will next move on to CP or AOS..? based on what abid32 says, how does it matter (other than being EB1,EB2,EB3) that the applicant has chosen CP or AOS? and if so, do the processing times vary based on it?

Naanshi

May be they have stopped processing the August/September cases due to the more number of RFEs issued by some stupid officers and they might be trying to reassign to some other officers who know how to process I-140 cases.

----- MAY BE and it seems a good imagination to assume or to console others. My dear, Nobody knows the actual reason.

If my guessing is correct then it is worth to wait for little bit more time instead of having stupid RFEs.
---- naanshi, one cant do anything just have to wait, I know your concerns. It is better not to check every day person may get more anxiety.

Read the second paragraph

03/09/2004: Sign of I-485 Progress at Nebraska Service Center

In nonimmigrant proceedings, the RFE is a bad sign which leads to denial in substantial number of cases or a substantial delay of decision at the best. However, the RFE is a good sign in the I-485 proceedings which indicate that the I-485 file left the dark space in dormant stage and awaking from the long and forced sleep. Nowadays, almost no I-485 cases are adjudicated without first requesting evidence to prove the continued existence of the petitioned job. Accordingly, the fact that one receives a RFE should be taken as a good news that his/her I-485 is finally being adjudicated after being pull out of the cabinet or shelves.

There is a sign that the Nebraska Service Center has opened such door in that the I-485 applicants start receiving either RFE or approval notices. There is no confirmation, but it is obvious that some of the adjudicators in the H-1B cap production line must have been switched to this production line. Please cross your two fingers!!

Looks like everybody is guessing only. Nobody knows for sure what is going on there. I don't think we are going to see 'n' number of I-485 approvals or RFEs soon.

Is it worth to wait ?

When I asked my Attorney about my I140 case, he mentioned that my case will take another 6-8 months for approval and it seems that UCIS - Nebraska started processing I140/I485 together to save time instead of reviewing I140 file again during I485 stage.

Did anyone hear these kind of statements from your Attorney?

NSC is a sad joke. The processing officers are the most disorganized, disoriented, directionless, etc. They are so pathetic that they will never do any thing good like this. For them it is hard to think about today. They can never think ahead of time?

still only 10 cases per day for my august 350 cases. don't know when this will pick up ? This still does not give any %^&%^ idea what dates they are processing..

It seems guessing now about what dates NSC is processing based on these scanner results is useless..
