Multiple tickets & arrest. Any effect?

I recently applied for US Citizenship after waiting for 3 years of getting my GC. I applied on Apr 23rd and got interview date for Aug 3rd.

In the past i have been arrested 2-3 times for not paying my traffic tickets ranging from 200-700 dollars and also for selling alcohol to intoxicated person (ended up getting class 'B' misdemeanor). My question is, will it most likely result in denial of my application?

Misdemeanor was back in 2001.
 
Not necessarily as the misdemeanor is outside statutory period. How long ago were the traffic tickets and for what traffic offense?

He does not call himself bholabhala. it was Police officer who gave him the name bholabhala as he did not know that one need to pay fine or should not
sell alcohol to intoxicated person in US. He is not Bhola with Bhala(in hands):D

Anyway, i am not that BholaBhala, its just the nick. The missdem thing i got was like on my 12th day in US. I didn't know CR&P about laws and was like 'to hell with the police', i didn;t do nothing, but it turned out that me made a molestake...

Anyway, missdem was back in 2001
last arrest i had was back in 2006 i GAS. The 2-3 arrests were like for over speeding, no insurance and expired DL.

That was not a response to the questions, initially asked. Not that i am freaking out, i just wanna know if this is gonna be a problem.

I'd rather carry an attorney with me to save my ARZ, incase something goes wrong, then to sit there and whine about how cruel INS is ...
 
Wouldn't it be much better overall if you simple drove within speed limits, carry insurance, ensure your DL is valid and not buy alcohol for minors?

Sir, what you need to understand is that whats done is done. I aint gonna sit here and whine about what happened in the past. I am here with the hope to get some good advice, and if you can't offer me some, you need to keep your posts, rolled up yours.....

The important thing now is to show that you have paid all fines and taken care of DL and insurance. Bring evidence of payments to the interview as well as court documents for arrests.

bob, you the man... Thankx for the detailed response. All the fines have been paid in full, but my DL is still suspended, and i owe state like 2000 dollars in Surcharge (the new crappy law Texas came up with). But i don't have any outstanding warrants or anything... !
 
I have one more question for you all. The checklist letter that i got from USCIS, asking me to bring buncha docs, one of the item in there says 'proof of union of marriage'... what exactly does that mean? I dont have my wife on my lease, what else could be a proof of union?
Should i record; when making out with her and play the video in front of USCIS? Is that gonna be allright?

Bring any document of your wife that shows she has the same address as you (income tax receipts, bills, DL, etc...).
As for the bedroom videos, keep those for youtube.;)

Joint back accounts, Utility bills with both of your names on it, Life insurance or 401K showing her as beneficiary, Auto insurance with both of your names...

Making out may not be enough by USCIS standards, so you may have to take it up a notch or two...:cool:

All jokes aside, if you're applying on a 5-year LPR basis, a marriage certificate is sufficient proof of union of marriage. If your application is marriage-based, you'll have to provide additional documentation, such as joint bank account statements, utility bills with both of your names, insurance (health/life/auto, etc.) statements, photos of family gatherings, and whatever else you can think of that proves legitimacy of your marriage.

:D:D:D, I say if you have it on a digital camera bring it along, althought you will not be asked to show it (maybe). Just mentioning it will cause laughter in the room, lighten up IO and work in you favor :cool:
