yhcheong's notice date is about 3 mos before me (10/2001 vs 1/2002). So it seems like his FedEx envelope happened to be on top of the pile, whereas mine was clearly at the bottom! I guess its going to be at least 3 more months (maybe even longer) before they get to mine!

vpr should hopefully get his approval date soon!

Congratulations and Good luck to all of you who got the labor approval...

I am trying to contact some one in MD senate, with a written representation. So many persons in this forum tried several methods, this is some thing similar to that, the only exception is that there is some one who is interested to know details of the delays and problems. Based on the excel sheet circulated in this forum, I am compiling full representation with necessary details. I need names and city of residence details to compile the full representation. These details are needed to make a proper representation and not thing to do with the application. So feel free to provide more information.

Also, if you have copies of any letters you have sent escalating the problem, please give me a copy.

Please mail me these details to sivareddy@usa.com. The more names in the letter the stronger it looks. Please respond asap.

Thanks, rsiv

 Yup, thats a big question, even the larger immigrant population state like NY,NY,CA already completed the 245i backlog and processing faster then MD.

hi, i'm new! LC in MD is really misfortune! I heard there was a meeting in May 28 evening. Two officers from Philadelphia informed recent situation in MD and DC. They said there were only two staffs dealing with DC cases, so they would move those cases to Philadelphia. As for MD, they won't do that. They have already set a center in Gaithersburg with 7 staffs but 2 just quit to deal with the cases. There is no supervisor there. My concerns are

1. Does that mean there are two centers in MD dealing with the state level LC case?

2. If there is this kind of meeting in near future, how can we know or maybe they should hear some voice from us

How do you know all this , do you mind to share the source of the information

MD - pain in the butt.

Guys,
I agree that MD has been a big pain the butt. April appears to be eternally long.. Can't imagine why it's taking so long compared to many other states - GA, VA, NJ etc...

Can somebody post information about how many outstanding cases they might still have?
I remember an old posting on this forum that said they can process about 600 per month and I am hoping they should have finished atleast 1800 by now (started Mar 3).

Any info will be appreciated. thanks.

Is it really slow?

Is it really slow, or they are doing this on purpose? If they do this on purpose, it is going to be the true trouble.

That's from a lawyer! Does that mean Federal is helping MD. Someone in this forum last month got approved by Gaithersburg center right?

Thats not becoz federal helping state, it was yhcheong case, and his date is 30 april 2001, thats what state is processing now, it wasnt some special case.

It may be true, if we hear from someone whose datr is later then April (say August, september 2001)

Hi Guys,

Actually, It wasn't my case. :)
It was MDGC's case.
As I understood, MDGC got Labor Certificate from Gaithersburg.
It seems that his case did not go through Phily DOL.
He said that he was ready to I-140.
I remember that a guy who was in NY or NJ thread, told that DOL(not Phily DOL) trying to have new Labor Certificate system(I'm not sure whether or not it is about PERM) so they picked up some cases from each SESA and processing it under new test system.

If you guys go back to 5 or 6 previous pages, then you can see MDGC's comment on his case.

Hope this helps.

Guys, Any news. It looks that fewer people are coming to this forum. Is it because it is hard to get to this place from http://www.immigrationportal.com?

Hope to hear something from you guys.

Try forum Jump from the main page, you will get to it quicker.
I guess no one has any news. I come here to look at it every day, I don't have any new info so I can't post anything. I guess a lot of people are in similar situation.
I guess we have to wait(how long??) and hope for some news
