There is going to be mass filling in July-August (750,000 as per someone's estimate). CIS will need significant staff for I-485 receipting, processing of AP & EAD. This is going to create a huge backlog even after Oct.
All the june filers haven't still gotten their receipts yet and expected to get it by August. So think about the impact of July mass fillings.
This will also delay the I-485 processing for non-retrogressed countries (from Oct onwards)

Quick question... If my spouse comes to US on an H4 (while my AOS is pending), and my AOS gets approved. While her AOS is not applied as dates are NOT current, what will her status be then? I obvioulsy will not be able to apply again till the PD become current right? Can she use my PD, or will she get her own PD when she applies.?? Please respond soon...

--> H4 status will go away and need to file immediatley AOS if PD is current. If not then you need to change some oter status. If it crosses 180 days it becomes OUT of status.

Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done.

Does anybody know what the official "Receipt Date" for AC21 purpose going to be (Jul 12 or June 15)?

My AP docs were received by the lawyer on 7/17/2007. I just got a copy of the AP today..

is your I485 filed in NSC or TSC. If you dont mind can you please post your case number without last 4 digits.

Today i got info from IO that my name check was initiated on June 28th and it is still pending. Rest of the detail is in signature.

Someone, Please advise!!

My I485 receipt date is 06/08 and ND is 06/23. I receIved all the receipts for my family except my I-485 receipt. What could be the reason? My I140 is still pending from 08/2006. Will it cause any delay to get receipts or FP notices?

I recieved FP for my son for Jul 23rd. I tried to check status using his LIN number from receipt online, but it say s LIN number doesn't exist in the system. Why ?
What should I take for the my son's FP appointment, is passport of my son and my driver's license enough?

I have same question. Myne was mailed to NSC on June 11. Online it shows July 5 as received date. When I called TSC they says they received only on July 5. I tried to explain she repeated says July 5 as receipt date. At the end she asked to wait 45 days from this date (july 5) for any questions.:mad:
 
"unfair" - my friend, is any part of this process fair? Well, the date the USCIS puts it in the system will be the official RD, even though your physical fedex/UPS may have reaced a week or two earlier. In my opinion how does a week or 2 matter? I mean is it worth fighting the battle with USCIS?

My I485/140/AP/EAD all were received by USCIS on the same day (per fedEx). But they all have different RDs...

There was a notice from uscis which said they will honur 'oroginal' filing date. How do we use that
