My lawyer showed me the FedEx receipt and I was
pretty much right there in his office when he made
me sign the forms and get the package ready for FedEx.

In Feb. when we did not get receipt I started getting
anxious and calling INS and by March/April we knew it is
not showing up and best to file it again then try
and talk to INS.
 
I got the same response too, May 2nd

Spoke to IIO AM and she said that by the end of the month
we could get the 485receipt (June 1st). She told me that probably in two
weeks they will do the data entry for June 1st applicants. She said delays
were because of the huge frontlog.

I spoke to one too..a gentleman..said..""""""""""""May 2"""""""""" and tommorow is August 2. That is 3 months. VSC sucks bigtime.

On a lighter note how about reserving getGCin2003 ID for you ??? No Honest it really makes sense with VSC\'s snail pace..
 
Hi, welcome back , folks.

I really miss this thread during last few days down time, now
we can continue discussing our receipts.

I saw many people updated their RD/ND in infitime.com, looks like
VSC is sending receipts for even late May filers. based on this,
I am going to call my legal assistant tomorrow to find out whether she had my receipts .

Folks please share your data if you already got receipts for 485/EAD/AP. thanks.
 
Question to those who got a reciept recently!!!

Its nice to see you back. I see a couple people getting reciepts who filed mid of may and end of may, like crapshooter etc. Are you folks getting the AP approval along with it or do we still have a long wait on that. Crapshooter, since ur reciept date is 5/22/01 are you allowed to get AP from the local INS office if you haven\'t recieved one already? Please advice, as i\'m anxiously waiting to get my AP as soon as the 485 reciept comes in. All folks on the board, your input would be appreciated.

according to murthychat, now it\'s only talking a month or so to get receipts!

just got off line from chat session on www.murthy.com, lawyer Murthy said VSC mailroom has improved a lot since new contractors started working, it will only take a month or so for the new filings from now on. the old 2 to 3 months timeframe to get receipt will no longer exist .

I am going to call lawyer tomorrow, hopefully can get some good news.

And guys looks like things are moving. I am going to grab
a nice drink and SLEEP well dreaming about the call from
my lawyer.
I wanted to give you a few suggestions about the
your great site-
1) Separate I485/EAD/AP applications from
   other by using a different color code or Page.
2) Also At the End you are showing the number of
   cases. If you could please include the count
   of the Applications that have received a receipt
   it be great as everytime I visit your page I will
   have a snapshot of what is going on and if there is
   any progress being made. Presently I am lost and
   have to go through each listing and figure out
   how much progress is made
3) And please ask people to include an email address.
   That way we will be able to make sure people are
  entering correct data and entering it. For e.g
  i485-waiting has a filing date of 3/28 and no receipt
  shown. I doubt this is correct. I just think he
  entered the data and never came back to update it.
  We don\'t want just bad/incomplete date.

Looks like VSC is doing a good job. My attorney called me in the afternoon and told me that they got our 485 receipt. She didn\'t mention anything about AP approval and I\'m not sure of getting AP from local INS office. I\'m definitely going to get an interim EAD from the local office after Aug. 22nd.

This is a great thread and I realy missed it last few days. Fortunately we have seen some movements on I485 receipt and it looks very positive now that VSC is moving faster and I can get my receipt probably within next 2 weeks :)

As to infitime, I will do my best to make infitime.com as easily use and informative as possible so we all can sleep well in suituations like this. If you guys have any concerns on please drop a few lines to me.

Yest. I received my AP, But still I dont know about my RD/ND.
I tried to reach my lawyer phone/Email no reply so for.

Hopefully I may get it today.
