Last updated date changed for Jan '03 case

radhakris,

There is no time line as you might observed from different posts on this thread. And LUD change does not always results into a FP2 notice.

So your guess is going to be as good as anybody's here. Just wait to see, if you get one. If you chnaged addresses, keep in touch w your attorney too.

Could you tell me how long does it typically take to receive the FP2 notice by mail after the LUD has been updated. My LUD was updated on 8/4/2003 and I haven't received the notice yet. I am expecting FP2 notice.

Thanks for your input.

ANY COMMENTS?

Where are we folks?

Any LUD changes after initial post-FP2 change. As I see it from July '04 FP2 approvals thread, there are no approvals for us yet.

We are seeing quite a few 3rd/last week of June '04 FP2 approvals. Wondering if that could touch us by end of this month !?

-Sanga.

Though January '03 ND can't be on high activity anymore until VSC starts approving FP2 cases, VSC is still dusting a few.

Throw some light..

It looks like to me that now they are active processing July 04 FP2 cases..... :)

Sanga their is every reason for you to get excited and I will be very happy if you guys get approvals soon as my FP was done in 8/7/04.

I am excited about your LUD!!.

Just want to let you guys know that my Buddy and his spouse got I485 approved yesterday without any RFE's. They have filled I485/I140 in Dec 2002 and have done Second Finger Printing in Arlington, Virginia on July 7th.

So now it looks like CIS have started working on July FP2 cases :) and lets hope that this trend continues.............

Sanga,
I am also worried... If you recollect my ealrier email,my LUD has changed twice after FP2 : I did my FP2 on 07/13, the LUD has changed first on 07/19 and second on 08/13. Typically I observered the LUD changes only once after FP2....I hope I am not getting a RFE? whats your observation....

Is good idea or legal?

I am on July FP2 list too and waiting for approvals. I am leaving for another company since my old company closed the whole office. I wouldn't bother applying for H1 (since they do not) and H4(I have EAD). Is it a good idea or legal to use EAD work /w I485 pending without any non-immigration status like H1/H4? To my understand, it is not necessary BUT I AM NOT SURE. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

You always have to be optimistic in GC process otherwise you will have sleepless nights. I would serious be excited if the LUD changes after FP2 as there is every posibility that the case will get approved soon. Even if an RFE is generated, unless if you don't have any major issues with sponsoring employer, then you can always reply to the RFE's in a decent timeframe.

So bottom line is think for approval and not rfe......

You can absolutely use EAD w/o any problem.

Applying for AOS(I-485), will keep you in status and EAD is your work autherization permit. You do not require any other status (like H1, H4, L1 etc).

But if you are a primary applicant, you better take a job that is similar to your old one. It will help if you get any RFE.

Good Luck.

Is it mandatory to notify the INS about job change through AC21?

Is it mandatory to notify the INS about job change through AC21? My 140 got approved and 485 application has also passed 180 days, planning to switch the job. I'm asking this question because one of my friend switched his job and did not notify the INS, but his case recently got approved without any RFE. He switched his job 7 months back. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

This scenario is discussed several times and there is also a seperate section on this forum which discusses in detail about all issues to AC21.

Now coming back to the concern, informing CIS or not when you change the job is dependent on lot of factors. If you are changing job in the same field and the prospective employer is financially stable and your salary is more than $38K/Year, then you should be fine and you can inform CIS using AC21. Generally after getting GC, you are suppossed to work for the sponsoring employer and if you don't then you will may have a problem while applying for Citizenship and you will have to convince the CIS that why you didn't work for the GC sponsoring employer.
