IR5 entry from India for parents

Does any parents of us citizen got IR5 visa before COVID-19 travel restrictions and the visa sticker expired.Got appointment online without any notification from consulate.Got medical done on appointment confirmation letter.Gone through interview at consulate and got IR5 visa reissued?
Right answer will help many confused parents.
 
IR 5 DQ Jan 2020, Interview cancelled in Mumbai due to COVID on April 17, 2021 (for May 12,2021). Fingerprinting done Apr 12, 2021. Got email on April 17 to reschedule appointment or wait for email. Tried rescheduling after June 7, no luck. No email since April from Mumbai consulate. How to get appointment at Mumbai consulate?

Yes, my parent's IR5 expired in July 2020 - could not travel because of COVID related flight cancellation/suspension.
Repeatedly reached out to support@usatraveldocs but no clear indication if we could schedule consulate appointment to renew expired IR5. Did not get any message/email asking to schedule consulate appointment to renew expired IR5 visa.
Finally just picked available consulate appointment and called around approved clinic to schedule medical exam. Initially clinic in Mumbai indicated that the case was not open so they could not do medical to submit results electronically to the consulate. Reached out to clinic in Surat and they agreed to do medical and were going to give us sealed envelop that we could take to the consulate interview. Checked back with clinic in Mumbai and this time they agreed to do the medical (not sure what changed).
Got IR5 renewed last month, July 2021.

Has anyone traveled or planning to travel in other airlines besides Air India and United? Any recent experience going via London or Dubai/Abudhabi to US?

Plan to travel on tickets purchased directly from Delta airlines from India to US, transit via Europe.
Delta itself does not fly out of India at this time but the code share partner Virgin Atlantic does.

How reliable it is? Because travel agents are not recommending it . Tickets are way too expensive but left with no choice

I had reached out to Virgin Atlantic and they indicated travel is permissible as long as ticket was purchased from Delta airlines on Delta coded flights (air-bubble agreement: https://www.civilaviation.gov.in/en/about-air-transport-bubbles), has valid visa to US and travel is permitted by US (https://travel.state.gov/content/tr...l-south-africa-schengen-uk-ireland-india.html)
I had also reached out to CBP to get travel confirmation for immigrant visa holders.

We travelled in Qatar airlines and reached Denver via Boston. No problems faced
 
Does anyone have recommendation for health insurance for parents? Do you get it from visitorscoverage or from kvrao.org?
 
we paid Green card fee of 220 $ in 2019 hope that is still valid. How long will it take for the green card to arrive.
 
We booked our appointment without any letter from embassy for renewal expired visa IR5

If any one in this group got renewal of IR5 Visa without embassy letter plz confirm thanks

We got IR5 renewed without letter from embassy. Good luck. reached Denver on 2 nd aug

We had a letter in 2020 saying we can come any time after 10.00 AM and get it renewed.
 
what happens to the interview if we do not get police clearance certificate (PCC) on time? Please comment if you have experienced this.
