Interview : Transferred to HARTFORD, Connecticut

Well I went for the interview no Stamp  they rejected because of vaccinations records not being filled out by the Immigration doctor. so I had to go and have the form filled out again I know that there was 2 doctors in particular one was Stamford Family practice the other was a norwalk one, so if you went to either make sure you check with your lawyer, to see if you will need to get them re-filled out. we was given a I72 and have 12 weeks to submit the info which is all sealed and on its way back.

The good news is there is alot of officers been shipped in to help the backlog but some of them are the hot topic between the lawyers, I overheard there is one officer who is not approving any case who has transferred job she believes you should be with the original sponsor and has denied a couple of cases yesterday its really interesting sitting in the waiting room because you get to hear all the scoop I know there was numerous cases rejected yesterday with the vaccinations. Please make sure you have all your documents

2002-2004 W2 and tax returns
Employer letter
PAssports
I took everything in a file birth certificates marriage certificates (they never asked for them)
The officer I had was really nice he asked all the questions on the 485 have you ever been in trouble with the police, claimed welfare, used fake documents to work, joined a communist party. when was the last time you entered the USA have you left since that date. that was pretty much it.

willl keep you all updated on what happens next I dont know what that will be but fingers crossed.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL IT APPEARS THEY ARE TRYING TO GET ON TOP OF THE BACKLOG SO YOU GUYS WILL BE NEXT

Hi imawaiting, sorry to hear that! but you are close and send all the documents and will be approved soon. Please write little more details on that officer who is rejecting the cases. So if you have any job change, she won't approve the case? please write liile more .

thanks.

The officer are known by numbers when you get your letter it will say
DAO # 1-however many officer their are.

The one being discussed in the waiting room was #2
if you went and spent the day sitting in room 421 you would come out with so much info it is unbelievable I was there 30 mins max. and the conversation that I heard lawyers was talking their clients through what will happen why cases are rejected and denied. who's good officers and who's not so good...

Finally GC stamped

Guys,

Thanks for all your help. Hartford is really on the move. Room 421 was pretty full when I was there. A lot of candidates had a lawyer accompanying them.

Had my interview this week and got my gc stamped. I had previously used AHHA2005_7 as my username but for some reason my password didn't work when I tried to update my status last week. Hence logging in as a different user name but have updated the tracker for my entry for everyone's benenfit. I agree with the comments above, a lot depends on your interviewer. I had heard similar horror stories about rejections, but my wife and I were lucky to get a great officer. Extremely polite and courteous. Made us take the oath to tell the truth. Asked for last three years tax returns, kids birth certs., recent paystubs for me (not for my wife), employment letters for me and wife, original 140 approval letter, all previous EADs and APs, drivers licence, passports and I94s. Asked us if we had ever been convicted. Asked my wife and me about the nature of our current jobs. Then fingerprinted me and my wife and took our signatures on some forms, stamped our passports for one year and congratulated us on becoming permanent residents, shook our hands and said the original plastic cards will be made available before the stamp runs out in a year.

Best of luck to you all. I guess Hartford is currently the quickest center, given that I have a friend who had to wait for over two years to get an interview scheduled in NY.

Thanks. Hopefully you'll be getting it soon also. However, it seems they are really trying to clear 2002 RD cases before they start 2003/2004 cases. Which might explain why I got a call so soon, though I'm not the best person to comment on this. My nearly three year wait has taught me one important lesson, you need a lot of patience in these govt. processes, but never give up hope.

Hi Guys:

Just wanted you to know that my friends went for their interview on Friday but was not stampped due to their medical info. It was not totally filled out by the doctor. They were told to have it done and mailed to them. After receiving and reviewing their medical report they will mail them approval letter. They took their finger prints though and said they will mail green cards after they are approved. They went to a place in Stamford to have medical done. So if any of you have gone to Stamford, please make sure that everything is properly filled out. The only problem is they always seal the envelope so we won't be able to open it.

That is a huge prob at HArtford at the moment with medical rejection, when you go back the doctor he fills it right out in front of you before he seals it, but he has done many many medicals so I heard they were going to be discussing it in Hartford.
so its a case of clear up the backlog and make another backlog.. the officers are under real pressure to get all this cleared up.

I think we did it there too. my friend who already received the GC didn't have any prob with him. hope that is the same case for us. greenie

I did it in Farmington ave, west hartford. Did anybody hear anything about that Doctor?

Hi Folks,

I was quietly watching this forum from the time I got my file transferred to Hartford office in September. Finally the good news is that I received the interview letter today. Interview is scheduled in 2 weeks from now.

TD – 9/23/2004
RD – 6/xx/2002

My questions for the folks who went for the interview are.
1) Does any know who the examiner with code DAO is?? How is this person??
2) My interviewer Room # is 421

Any updates are appreciated.

Everybody has room 421 and everyone gets DAO as the prefix. The number of the officer is unique (e.g. DAO #1 or DAO #2 etc....).

So guys...is it more that Hartford is working on cases with the earlier RDs than those with the earlier TDs?

Could be wrong, but looking at our tracker, seems like that's true (i.e. they are mostly trying to clear RD 2002 cases before they clear 2003/2004 cases.)
