Interview : Transferred to HARTFORD, Connecticut

Hi edvtorres, How did you put an enquiry to 'vsc hotline/customer service'? I am aware of only the NCSC 1-800-375 # which is hardly a hotline. It is just a call center.
 
i just called the number and got hold of one of the operators...

anyway, my interview was today and my passport was stamped and told to wait for the physical card within 4 months,,, thanks to all of your prayers and wishes...

Interview Letter

Finally, the letter arrived on Saturday 02/05/2005 (letter dated 02/03/2005), that "your interview is schdueled on 03/**/2005, Immigration officer DAO#1, Room #421. Letter combined My spouce and my interview in single letter! Slight surprise! Letter gives a laundry list of items to carry.

Online status has not changed! Will it ever change? Not that I care. But in a computerize system, this seems to be a basic logic fault! But then, there is very little we can understand from USCIS logic!!

Nervousness, increased 10 folds! What to carry what not to carry, etc What questions will be asked? My case is AC21 with I245i.

Congrats Mike Metal. I certainly hope all will go well for you. The rest of us is still hoping our day will come soon. Is it the standard documents you're being asked to bring? I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
 
Mike Metal, you won't believe how happy I am for you.....may be almost same as you are....because it was only you who was left from june. So we can imagine that next group will be smt, imwaiting and janannwill. Please give us all the details and write the details about the interview. also, could you please write the list of things to carry on that day? Please do not leave us rightaway as edvorres did (without sharing info).

Yes, all they need to verify your bonafide. They need the empoyment letter where pay, duties hours per week and length of employement along with a recent paystub (no duration is specified, mark no plural for paystub), Last 3 years Income Tax returns, passport, I-94, this letter of appointment, Any previously issued paperwork and last but least ANY DOCUMENT THAT YOU MAY THINK RELEVANT TO YOUR PARTICULAR CASE. Meaning, carry your whole immigration file (or may be suitcase as in my case) for the interview. Few things can make you laugh like "If your name is on the front of this letter then you must appear as requested" (Duhh...!).

Anyway, let them have their say! For us, this is the first step towards freedom!

I wish all your cases also gets interview call/or approval as the case may be.

Good luck! Carry all your EAD, APs- they will be confiscated. Take your 2 Passport pics - will save you time even if they provide the facility to take it there. Again, Best of luck to you and your spouse.

thanks you very much for that, and i'm very sorry for the delay in my response, i'm swamped with my work and classes... actually im in b3, sec 245i availee and concurrent filer... i had 2 ead's already which the immigration officer took after the interview, not that i care of... my interview is pretty short and simple. she just asked me first to raise my right hand and swear to answer the truth and nothing but the truth to all of her questions,, it took only 15 minutes.. i was worried before the interview took place because of the reason that i dont have a paystub ever since i start working for my sponsor, he just gives me checks and i didnt realize that the officer would need the cancelled checks instead, but of course my lawyer told me that i can make use of the cancelled checks, so make sure that for those with the same case like mine, secure a photocopy of all the checks you are receiving as evidence in lieu of the paystub and also the latest employment letter...

edvorres and MIKE METAL, please let me know if your lawyers also got a copy of the interview letter or not. Also, edvorres, please write about the interview in details like what did she ask etc...if possible.

My lawyer did get a copy. It was written in my copy that my representative (My Lawyer) was sent the copy of the letter.

i dont think my lawyer got a copy of my interview notice, because he was kinda surprised when i told him about the letter i got, or he may just be swamped with other cases he has been handling...

regarding the questions during the interview, they are all just like formality questions, but one seems to be important is "are you still employed with your present sponsor?" and the rest are all common as if you are being asked by the litigation lawyer before the start of a court hearing, you know what i mean? dont worry, it's just so easy,..

Hi All

Yesterday I initiated a status inquiry. Hoping this will trigger some positive response from Hartford. I call the 1-800 # who said they will inquire at Hartford. Let's see how that will go. Will update you on that.
