interview recap

we had our interview today and everything went fine. were asked for employment letter and birth/marriage certificates and copies of paystubs, personal tax return, and w2. took about 10-15 min. same story regarding visa availability. according to our attorney there is a high chance for having a cut-off date set in october. let's see what happens.

Could you please post what details they asked you to bring?

My interview is on next week and wanted to know what the questions would be.

They asked me to bring Company letter, W2's, latest pay stubs, previous apporvals, I-94 and any foriegn documents.

Please let me know as I am very much tensed.

glb, it seems like the list of documents asked to bring is basically the same. the officer seemed to be a bit impressed when we had all the documents asked to submit as copies and handed to him. questions asked: home address/phone#, the last time to enter the US, description of the job, the lengh of time working at the employer, marriage date... good luck

We had interview today. It went very well and got stamped on passport.

We had interview today. It went very well and got stamped on passport. The officer was very nice. Ask us our medical and pay stub, w2, employment letter and proof of marriage. We give our marriage certificate he told he has that needs some thing else with both our name in it. Gave him that. Then he told Visa number is available for nurses. And he stamped our passport.

Our interview was first scheduled for July 1 st but we didn’t get that letter on time. So it was rescheduled for today. It was a long wait.we filed our I140 on Jan 2002 and 485 on Sept 02.

Thank for all the prayer and advice and we wish all good luck in their interview. This form really helps us a lot.
 
SMT, congratulations! anyway, please let me know why you needed medical. Was it mentioned there in the interview letter to bring new medicals?

I didn't done medacal at the time when I filed my 485. Yes they asked me to bring medical at interview letter
 
Congrats SMT enjoy your freedom you and your family I know what you are feeling right now.

Pibo if they have not requested on your letter you need medicals then you must be fine.

Inteview at Hartford

Hi Guys,

I went to an interview last week, they asked the same old standard questions, DOB, Full Name, Current Emp Letter, W2's, Recent Pay Stubs, how many times have been in & out of the country, port of entry, dates of travel etc.

The wiard thing about my interview is my background check is not yet cleared (God knows why and when it will be cleared), and they called me for an interview. They also did not had my updated immunization records.

My case was not approved becuase of background clearence. Does any body experience the same? Guys, what are my options, apart from waiting?

My Labour PD: Jun 2001, I-485 is Aug 2002.

All my file is neat and clear, don't know how long I have to wait. I am worried becuase after the new Visa #s will be available, it may fill-up quickly and may have to wait longer. All though my lawyer says, since I have an ancient PD, I will have reserved visa number. Any thoughts on that?

GLB, sorry to hear that. There is no sequence or anything structural work in USCIS and so do not know what to say. Please email David Hardy today at FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov
and ask him if your name check is cleared. You need to wait for few weeks to get an answer.

I wonder when you recieve interview letter, will your spouse recieve one too? And will both of you be interviewed at the same time?
 
Everyone I know got interviewed at the same time. You'll get one letter and it will have both case numbers on it. My husband and I got only one letter. Thank God we are done. I'm just hoping for the best for all of you who are left.
 
jannanwill, thanks for searching :) I am still around and waiting for the interview which is after 1.5 weeks. I am frustrated and tired, and do not know if they are still givings stamps for EB2. They can have thousands clause, so I am scared to death!
 
I know it is very fraustrating. Remember I was there. But look at it this way, you've come so far and will be interviewed soon. That is a major mile post than where we all were. Remember we couldn't hear any news out of Hartford? It will be over soon. Trust me. Even if you are not stampped on your interview, remember they will start again in October. We are already in Sept. Hold on a little longer. Don't give up. God will see you through very soon. Keep prayer. That's how I survived the long wait. I'll keep checking to see the updates and to get your good news on approval. I really believe it will be soon. God bless

I just checked out Shusterman Sept bulletin and it still says EB2 is current for all countries

Don't worry your waiting is coming to an end. Don't panic you are only making it harder for yourself whatever happens will happen relax and put it to the back of your mind or you will go crazy thinking about it and get yourself in a tizzy come time for the interview. Good Luck my fingers will be crossed.

Mine is labor substitution case and in EB-3 ( EB-2- Sorry I mistyped it) category. My interview is in the last week of September. Wish they had delayed it one more week to interview in October.

Issue 1.
Since there won't be visa number available, would they send me GC card in October or they would again call me for interview? What would actually happen after they are happy with my interview/documents check?

Issue 2.
We have not received interview letter for my wife. Her I-485 was filed at a later date, but our cases were tranferred together from CA regional office to Hartford back in Dec 2004. When we went for our EAD and AP letter in June 2005 at Hartford office, we were told that I-485 cases for both of us were indeed there with them. Any ideas why they are delaying on my wife's interview? Or it's just a consequence of their incosistency, randomness and what not!! Any idea if I can still obtain interview letter for her or get her interview scheduled with mine? Should my wife go along with, would they care to interview her as well?

Issue 3.
Our finger prints were done in March 2004, so finger prints are already expired. Would they do our finger prints on the same day?
