IL SESA is awfully slow.

On Jan 7th 2004 they are working on AUgust 27th 2003 and now they are working on AUgust 29th 2003

If this is the pace they are taking 3 months time to move 1 month cases.

IL is having lot of applications since AUgust 2003 , it seems.

So IL can catch up with fellow SESA guys to have 9 months time for IL SESA clearance.

Really baddddddddddddd....

Can somebody throw some light on the following question.
My friend s LC is filed with "A , B , C" type of reqs/job description,
whereas he does not have that all experience in his past experience.He may be having A B types of skills but not all A B and C.

But some reqs match , but not 100 % - Probably 70% matches.

Based on this fact , any problem to that GC processing.

Yes
IL SESA is processing Septemebt 1st week cases. I found out from IL SESA today.
There is one aldy called Libya or something else , vvvvvv cooperative , very informative and helpful even.
Hope they will speed up and maintain 3 months time frame tro clear IL SESA LC.

According to present pace , they are taking 4 1/2 months.
By keeping Thanksgiving and Christamas holidays in mind we can take off 2 weeks out of this processing time 4 1/2 months.

So we can say IL SESA is taking 4 months on average to clear at SESA level.
ANyway we know that CHicago Feds are taking 2 to 2 1/2 months.
So it is 6-7 months for LC clearance submitted in IL state.

My priority date is Dec 24th , so have to wait till march.

Using available LC

Hi,

Here's a question for everyone on Labor Certs.

My company has one available certification which has a higher salary profile that what I have. The avaible LC matches my role, but has salary of just 6K more than what I have.

Is there any way of using this LC for my labor?
I would love a salary hike to obtain this LC, but that won't happen in the near future. I am wondering if LC has a salary range for that role and I should be able to use this LC.
Also, whats the best way to match this profile other han a hike in salary?

Any clues are appreciated.
 
If everything else matches - go for it. Just ensure you get a good lawyer. Most of the times 10% is not a problem and people have got substitution doen for as much as 30% gap with success. Get a good lawyer first.

How about other qualifications for the approved LC like
1) education
2) work experience at time of PD

Do they have to match exactly or is there a minimum that needs to match?

I am stuck with my corporate lawyer at Seyfarth Shaw. I will have to go with them.

If that LC needs skills in A , B and C areas , where as applicant has only A and B skillset.
Then will he be able to use that LC.

Your point maybe valid. I have no idea about that though - so will not comment.

I was replying on work experience and education. All I meant was years of experience in the role specified in LC and the educational qualification of alien should match.
 
IL SESA Status

To all,

I called IL SESA at 12:21 PM CST on Jan 28th, and they are processing Sep 8 2003 (RIR Cases).

Also can someone tell me how long does it take to clear the SESA and the Chicago Regional Labor.

I have a big question . can somebody pls answer.
My LC docs are sent to lawyer in Nov 1st week 2003.
I do not know when they applied.

But i found from IL sesa clerk.
She told like this.
Urs priority date is Dec 24th 2003 and case no is 53***

What does it mean.
Does it mean that they received just before Dec 24th.
WHen they suually assign case nos to applications.
The moment tehy receive or after some time??

I did not check with my lawyer , but i heard from my employer , that they got some letter from IL SESA,but did not tell me whether it is just receipt
Or
That is the letter from IL SEA having my priority date , case no details?

Can osme body let me know , what is going on with my IL SESA LC.

Usually priority date is the one that SESA recvs your case. Maybe your lawyer took some time to file it.
 
My company filed for my Labor Certification in Chicago in November. They have not given any receipt and I am not sure whether they have actually filed for my labor. Is there a way to verify that from DOL?

So it means there is no way till March to verify that my company has actually filed for my labor to SESA in IL.
