re: kenboo

Kenboo. I saw at the nebraska service center forum that they post approvals each day ( and there were plenty ). Just led me to think could we do something here at CSC . Does any case get approved in the day .it doesnt seem like from your scanning .if you can send me the instructions on how to get just the approvals for a day i could do that .

gcpend

thanks for the reply. my company is slightly bigger than yours.
Probably other factors such as capital, gross sales, etc make
difference in the items of RFE.

Hi. My scanning tools are not automated therefore 1 scan/week is what I can contribute to this forum. At CSC, there're very few approvals even in a week. I don't think the daily report is beneficial, and I'm not really interested to setup automated tools that I-485 CSC folks created(project anaconda etc) Anyway some people are desperate....

In order to generate the daily report, someone (or a group of people) has to scan everyday. I don't know how NSC forum guys are doing that. It's possible to use their scanners but my resource(IP address) is limited.

Nonetheless I can give you all the I-140 case numbers that I used to scan if you can make daily reports or you'd take over what I am doing every week. Please let me know

I wanted to know whether we have any approvals or not in a day. Pls send me the detailed steps of how to do it and then i can let u know whether i can do it .i have a laptop at home .also let me know how to get multiple IP's

Hi gcpend,

I guess the company size might be the reason they are asking for
more info. If your employer and lawyer could provide whatever
they have asked I guess you should be ok. I have read on this
california 140 forum somebody with company size as low as 4
employee getting approved.

By the way thanks for the reply.

askgc

I don't remember but did we report number of employees at the time of I-140 filing? How does USCIS know the applicant's company status before RFE? (sounds like a newbie's question..hehe)

To know whether we have any approvals in a day is essentially the same to daily scanning. I know you don't need detailed report though.

There were only 2 approvals in the last report, so you'll get 'none' for the half of the week.

Please let me know your email address. I will send the Excel file.
The steps is easy. Just open Macro menu and run 'scan' macro.
There're less than 2000 cases scanned per report. Only 2 IPs are required to complete. thanks.

I just spoke to the customer service at BCIS and she says.
1. have u done a status check on ur case my RD is 30-may-2003.
2. i said no
3. she says ok i am going to do it and then after 2 mins she says 'oh we already did one 2 weeks ago when u had called '

any idea what she is talking abt because i was unable to understand anything she was saying ....

also one more thing 'do we need to change our address on i140 petition if we moved'

I guess yes, I will check my papers and let you know tommorrow.
I for sure know my lawyer has asked for number of employees.

kenboo & askgc,

Thanks for your input.

I guess USCIS does not know how many employees does a company have before issuing RFE.

And I suspect whether the RFE details got changed in 2004

Your comments are most welcome and thank you all. We can check this if one more guy posts his comments from his RFE issued in 2004 esp Feb 2004 and onwards

Kenboo, how many employees are there with your employer?

Hi gcpend & Kenboo,

I have checked I 140 form and it contains the number of
employee in Part 5 question 2. So USCIS knows the number of employee.

Vote now or forget your 485 for years.

Please vote now or else all the effort put by Rajiv and this community is going to be waste as the number of votes is
very less.

Eligibility to vote :-

1.) Any body with 485 pending, one can vote for dependents too.

All concurrent filers please vote I understand your current problem is 140 but what about next stage dont you want it
to be better.

hi askgc & gcpend

thanks for checking the application form.
So they do know number of employees,
and probably issue RFE based on the information.

my company has 10+ people including executives.
3 citizen, 5 gc holder, 3 H1B.
The gc holders obtained GC through the company.

H1B cap reached

Looks like H1B Cap reached. Now once these H1B pending
applications are cleared (dont know how long) hope they may
take up 140.

http://www.shusterman.com/pdf/h1bcap-21704.pdf

I have read in some 485 threads that USCIS have moved
officers from 140 to H1B PP and they will be back to 140
processing after H1B cap reaches.

yep..

Its in the paper today...H1-B cap is reached. hopefully they'll allocate some resources to i140 now.

this is so frustrating...

I think it may take few more weeks to move H1b offices into I140 production unit. yesterday they said that H1b cap reached, that does not mean all the H1 applications have been processed, so we may have to wait another 2 or 3 weeks to see some actibity in I140.

lets hope for the best.

there is posting regarding moving H1b officers to I140 in

(breaking news posted on 01/12/04)

thanks,
