I-140 approved within 5 weeks

Hi folks,

I got an email from my lawyer. She said that she recieved an email confirming that my I-140 was approved.

Looks like the service centers are in overdrive.

Here are my details.

I-140 RD: 28 Apr 2006
I-140 ND: 1 May 2006
Concurrent filing (Yes/No): No
Service Center: Nebraska

Cogratulation,

But I am almost 100% sure that your case was processed and approved in Texas, although originally had been filed to Nebraska.

Could you tell us first 3 letters of your Recept Number ?
If it starts with SRC it means Texas.

5 weeks for processing is the speed of TSC.

As for NSC, people whose cases will be processed there are very unlucky because there is no pattern how much time it takes them.

After April 1st, NSC has indefinite period of time for processing.
It seems to me they almost stopped to process/approve cases, they collect them on the shelf and some of them forward to Texas.

I am claiming 2001 PD

I am waiting for the approval notice to make sure the PD is appropriate. If so I will be filing I-485 pretty soon. Mine is a clear cut case thank God...

Finally got I140 receipt yesterday, but from TSC.

Mine was delivered to NSC on 05/12, but it apparently was sitting there before being sent to TSC.

Hi,

When and how does the EB2/EB3 category get assoicated with once Green Card Processing?

According to my lawyer the category will be noted on the the receipt notice for the I-140. Is that true?

Recieved the approval notice in three days!!

I was able to successfully port the earlier PD into this I-140 approval notice so everything worked out fine. The best part is that the approval notice came in three days!!

Gosh all those years spent in waiting seem to be comming out to be true. I had to go through so many backlog nonsensical issues...PERM is the best!

Hi Guys,
anybody filed after 22 April got approval lately? There is no movement at NSC.
