:confused: I sent a reply to my RFE on I-140 on 16-May by FEDEX. The case status is still not updated. May-22 was the deadline for the RFE to reach. Do you know if this is nowmal?
 
Can you share what the RFE was for assuming it is okay wih you to share this info

It was for letters of experience as they did not want to consider affidavits. I submitted the letters. My concern is:

1. Why the case status didnt get updated that they received the RFE.
2. Since my case was received Jan-7, do I get a new date for processing or do I get expedited processing

I-140 Approved

Just got the USCIS email stating my I-140 approval.
NO RFE and NO LUD. My qualifications are only a 3yr Degree (from European Univ). Degree (hospitality) does not reflect my current employment category (IT). I am from India so i guess i will wait for next 6 years to file my 485.

For all those still waiting anxiously for news on their 140 - i hope my case can provide some ray of hope to those with less than optimal education /experience and missmatched background.

In my case even though i had more than 10 years of IT experience my lawyer insisted on filing me as Eb3 due to my edu background - and i believe his advice was sound looking at the result. I also had the opportunity of providing 2 years W2s with fairly high wage rate (much above required prevailing rate). This probably avoided the "Ability to pay" RFE and I am assuming that my European Degree probably helped my cause in the "education" RFE criteria.

Wish you all good luck and see you in 2012 in the I-485 forums.
 
My LUD got changed. But I didnt receive any Email. Also on the
uscis website it says

"Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on March 16, 2006. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing."

So what hass really happened . Any one has any clues.?

One RFE, replied back within a week and i got the appoval mail two days back.

RFE: Apr 20 th i believe.

about EB-1A category transfer from VSC to NSC

Hi to all
I writing here for the first time.
I filed my GC EB1A at VSC myself. RD 9/28/05, ND 10/17/05
Transfer to NSC 5/2/06, NSC RD 5/9/06.
Briefs about my credentials.
I have about 10-12 peer reviewd articles, 2-4 are in very top rated Journals Like Proc Nat. Acad Sci USA. I have more than 120 citations for all my papers.

I submitted about 8 reco letters, only two are from my current and past mentor, rest all are from people with whom I never worked and they know me from my research papers conferences etc.

I have more than 14 conference presentations. I have two awards one best paper in India during my Ph.D. One at presenting my PhD work at American Society of Microbiology.

I have one letter from one drug company asking about antibody that I made in my Ph.D. for future thereputic purpose.

I got direct letter from one editor of Jorunal to review the article for that journal.

currently I am working on Cancer.

Any one has any idea how strong my application is for Extra ordinary conditons.
ANy one got any approval from NSC after transfer.

Has anyone heard of atleast one I-40 approval in NSC that has been transferred from Vermont?

:) I just got an email from DHS, that my I-140 was approved on Friday 19th, May. My details are as follows,

Here are my details,

LC State: VA
LC Category: EB3
LC PD: May, 2002
I-140 FD:02/27/2006
I-140 RD:03/16/2006
I-140 LUD:03/18/2006
I-140 LUD:05/22/2006
I-140 AD : 05/19/2006
Concurrent filing (Yes/No): No

Your's would be next. Good luck to all of you.
 
My I-140 is approved. Received Email notification today.
This was a cake walk compared to LCA.
Now will wait for (ever) I-485 dates .

Anyone experience similar delays? How do i find out if the application even made it to the NSC ?

Check your check

Some times your lawyer may not be updating you(who knows). If your 190 $ check was deducted from your account, That means your application reached USCIS. You can check the back side of that check for LIN********(If it is NSC) or EAC********* (If it is VSC).
You can track your application with bellow link.

Check was sent by employer

Thanks for the response Phani_gc. The check for the application was probably sent by my employer or attorney. So i cannot check for the check clearance date. But is it normal to not get the receipt notice for more than a month.
