My attorney mailed I 140 / I 485 on 25th April to NSC. Recieved notices from NSC on 11th May to the attorney's office for all the applications. It's like 17 days total from the day it's mailed and recieved notices.

SN4GC, what category was your 140 filed (EB2/3)

Also is it possible to file 140 and 485 together
My labour has approved in EB3 category using perm, can i file for 140 and 485 together?

status2005,

It's filed in EB2 Category and you can find my details in my signature.

You can file 140 and 485 together if your EB dates are current and since you mentioned your labour has approved in EB3 category using perm , you need to wait to file together untill the EB3 dates becomes current for you.

Thx
SN

Hi ww-gc,

I would enter your info in tracker after you get your NOTICE DATE. Without that it does not serve the purpose. I think you should get it in couple of days.

Kindly also let us know if your labor is EB2 OR EB3.

You can see my signature for the required information.

Thanks,

Eb2

Mine is EB2.

Some one said that its not just paperwork. I want to tell you guys that its not worth spending years to get GC. It is worth if you are regularly getting your pay raises and better job duties. But if you think your career suffered because you did not have GC, its not end of life. Anyways, I personally consider that US employers are using GC as a modern day slavery equipment. I am happy that my employer did it as fast as they could. In less than 12 months I am waiting for my I-140 approval. Stupid priority dates. I wonder if any Indian national got GC by using EB2 or EB3 this year. lets start a thread to check on 485 approvals for Indian nationals.

richdreams,

I agree with you. Many of us came here legally and still struggling with GC process. I have been working on H1B almost 10 years now. I think illegal aliens are much happier than we are. Illegals would eventually become citizen faster than us.

Such threads already exist. It is not a purpose of this thread to discuss I485 approvals, there is a separate threads.

It depends what you mean saying "Indian national got GC".
Plastic card was delivered to individual or I485 approval ?

Per my knowledge several EB2 people with PD 2002 and Indian national too got approval of I485.

http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=212800
You may know that guy GP111 he created two outstanding threads
PBEC tracking and DBEC tracking, he is Indian and one week ago got approval of his I485.

As for EB3

http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=1426641&postcount=1
and I saw also PD 2001 was approved somewhere.

But you need to move to I485 forum to discuss this issue over there,
It is not a right place for GC approval discussion.

Change employer

Hi Gurus,
I am waiting for my I-140 approval. Once I get my I-140, is it possible to change employer? My understanding is the new employer needs to re-file labor and I-140 based on my old PD.
But can they convert from current EB-3 category to EB-2?

Do I need to get my H1B extension first from current employer and then apply for transfer?

Please share your knowledge or links

Thanks

PD : 04/24/04
Type: EB3- RIR
I-140 FD : 03/07/06
I-140 AD : still waiting

Technically you can do it, get I140 approval on EB3, get 3 years extension of H1B and change employer, yes you can convert old PD of EB3 to EB2.

BUT you must be sure that your old employer does not file revoke of your old I140 - EB3 and does not use your approved LC for substitution, otherwise you lose your EB3 old PD with your new employer.
